Body of woman, 25, stolen from casket in broad daylight in Texas

Well they tried recycling, but things went horribly astray when aunt Mabel tried canning the potassium and sodium for later, said sources in the local fire department.

AFAIK bodies being cremated aren’t embalmed at all; unless the family requests it or wants an open casket service. Or at least that’s what the funeral director told us when my great aunt died 2 yrs ago.

Fredrich: What a filthy job!
Igor: Could be worse!
Fredrich: How?
Igor: Could be raining!

I wouldn’t know about that -
If I were a betting man I’d say that
“opposed to cremation” is much more common than “necrophile”.

In general, sure, but not when it comes to the motivation for stealing the body of a young, attractive female. Not even close.

HOV lane.

California maybe. Texas? More likely an Aggie frat house.

Where do you think the brothers painted the HOV lane?

The executive vice president for medical services at the Center for Health Care Services has another theory:

This is basically the “Norman Bates” theory, right?

I disagree. I know necrophiliacs exist, but I assume they work in mortuaries or are rapist/murderers.

This is a singular crime.

Basically, though it sounds like the VP knows more than she’s willing to take on record.

They’ll have to discover the corpus delectable.

Depends which way the wind is blowing.

That’s SICK. Your comment was sick, disgusting, in the worst possible taste, frickin’ hilarious, and depraved. You should be congratulated ashamed of yourself!

It wasn’t exactly hidden. I saw it on MSN.com as part of their little slideshow.

As you’ve probably figured out by now, she had cystic fibrosis.

How exactly do you know this?:dubious:

Do you have some figures on the prevalence of necrophilia?

She died August 8th. Her body disappeared August 15th. There’s no way her body isn’t smelling like a skunk’s ass about now. I sincerely doubt anyone could stand being in a room with it long enough to…

She’s been buried.

Update from local news:
http://kxan.com/2015/08/25/texas-police-say-man-obsessed-with-woman-corpse-missing/

San Antonio police trying to find a woman’s corpse stolen from a casket say a man “obsessed” with her was the last to leave her funeral.

At what point does this seem like a good idea to you?

I am not entirely sure that I want to know how this will end.
