Too lazy to check tonight’s blurb, but will be back tomorrow for discussion.
Not a single post yet? Jeez, this was one of the best episodes of the season. I like that they gave Angela’s magic hologram machine a rest, even though Zach filled up the “whaaaa?” factor with his amazingly quick jaw reconstructions. The ending was right out of a 80’s slasher flick too. The Gormogon story arc is kind of silly, but they’re doing a pretty good job with it. This season is more like a book you read to kill time, something like a James Patterson book.
Still no Wonder Woman costume.
I have a theory. Gormogon is Cam. Who’s with me?
What about Dr. Sweets? He sure knew a lot about Gormagon’s motivations. That’d be stupid though. Which doesn’t mean it won’t turn out to be him.
I might be going out of my mind here, but didn’t we see him at the end of the episode as he killed the guy? I think we got a flash of his face, anyhow.
I personally think they are simply adding a new character. I might end up being way wrong.
I don’t think that was him. Did look a little bit like him, though.
But was that Gorm or Gorm’s apprentice?
*Did I really just say that?
Probably the apprentice. The dude looked mighty darned young.
Sorry, yeah, I meant we saw Gormagon’s apprentice’s apprentice (or whatever) not Dr. Sweets. I didn’t think it was Dr. Sweets either.
On a different note, the original Gormagon was a creepy mofo wasn’t he?
I don’t usually watch Bones. Not sure why, because there’s nothing else on. Just my luck to get interested toward the end of a season.
So this Gorm guy kills specific people, eats the flesh, and arranges their bones into a display? And he trains a younger person to take over for him?
Looked to me like the person on the motorcycle was a woman. He or she had a very slight build.
Is the guy in the nursing home faking his Alzheimer’s?
Some arguments can be made in favor of him being Gormogon’s apprentice. For one thing, the writers have made a big deal of emphasizing his youth, as befits an apprentice. Second, he seemed to display an inordinate amount of insight into both Gormogon’s background and the inner workings of his mind. And of course, the camera had a way of focusing on him in a creepy way at key moments during the show.
If he were Gormy’s boy though, then he’s been playing his role very foolishly. He divulged an awful lot of information that set Booth and Bones down the killer’s path. He didn’t have to help the squints figure out who the Corruptor was, for example, and yet he did. For this reason, I don’t think he’s our boy.
ALZ guy could have been faking. That hissing still creeped me out though.
The bit at the very end with the guy leaping out of the closet made me jump out of my chair.
Just nitpicking a bit: ALZ patients tend to be droopy in the mouth.
And…people with cystic fibrosis are usually very, very thin.
Good story, though.
So what’s the deal with the tooth pulling?
Were the teeth in the bomb from Old Gorm v1, or motorcycle son-of-Gorm?
Did they match the teeth up to tooth marks on the older, completed skeleton? If so, are we to assume each Gorm eats enough to compile a complete skeleton, and then yanks his teeth and hands them to the next gen?
Most likely. He seemed a bit too lucid.
Were those his teeth in the bomb? Did they mention which marks on the bones they matched? (I missed part of the episode due to my roommates not stfu-ing).
I don’t know if those were his teeth in the bomb, but he did look toothless. I raised an eyebrow when they found all the bomb teeth except one. It was a bomb! How could they find all those teeth?
How could someone get into a care center and pull someone’s teeth and nobody noticed?
Maybe his teeth were pulled a long time ago and he was saving them for something special.
I think the face that was flashed at the end looks like Zack Addy (played by Eric Millegan)
Those were his teeth in the bomb - they had been pulled by pliers. They also matched the bite marks on the completed skeleton.
The motorcycle guy is the current apprentice - he cant take the masters seat until the skeleton is complete. He had been visiting toothless until ‘recently’ - the guy at the old folks home was even specific enough to say the visitor rode a motorcycle.
Cam is unlikely to be Gormogon, if for no other reason than that if this ‘cult’ thing had been around for a long time, women were not likely allowed to be part of it.
The interesting part of it beeing sweets is the access (proximity) to be able to watch the video feed from the “vault”, that and the knowledge he seemed to have - my bet is that the writers are are doing that to get him as part of the squints instead of pinning him to be the apprentice - but that end shot had me rewinding about 4 times and I’m still not sure.
Should be easy enough to find the visitors log for the oldfolks home, and or see if Sweets rides a bike.
Ahh not exactly. People with CF, especially those who make it to adulthood have large, barrel chests. So, even though they are thin, they look larger than they really are.
