OK, I just saw a preview and (if there is anyone still watching Bones) thought we might discuss.
No real data in this post, so that the roll-over doesn’t show any spoilers.

The preview says: One of their own, will not survive. (Didn’t Castle’s preview for next week also say something like this?)
Who do you think they will get rid of?
They also seem to imply that Bones and Booth might finally bump uglies. But I’m not convinced.
I’m guessing it will be an intern, just because I don’t see them offing any of the major players. But maybe Angela will lose the baby?
I’m guessing the baby is a goner.
They have been dancing around baby health issues. And let’s face it, Angela and Hudgens having a baby isn’t helping the show. We’re off to have a drink at the end of the show. Sorry, can’t have them there, have to be home with the baby. Just too many dead ends with the kid.
Thinking they lose the baby, then have relationship issues. They separate, and start over again. Bait and switch. Replay.
Odd how I feel funny saying this about a *fictitious *baby, but I’m kind of hoping that the baby goes.
(I know, I’m weird right? It isn’t real. But there is always that part of me that has trouble wishing ill on someone, especially a baby.)
Plus, losing the baby gives them some room to write about relationship issues or even go deeper into the show’s ongoing God debate.
Of the major characters, Cam would be the easiest to lose.
strong indications it will be an intern - Nijel in this case, since he’s heavily shown in the preview AND he has his own show next season.
I think losing the baby would be too cruel - and there are snapshots of a happy angela at the hospital and stuff.
Especially since she got that crappy hairstyle and has stopped wearing clothes that show off her dynamite body. That was one of my favorite things about the show. Who needs her anymore?
Oh, it better damned well not be Cam. Even though she did get a horrible haircut and they’re giving her nothing to do lately.
Nooooooooo! Not Mr Nigel-Murray!
I know… I really liked him… The song at the end was sweet.
So… did Bones and Booth do it or not? They just exchanged sly smiles, which is hardly definitive.
Pretty sure they did. And since Emily Deschanel is pregnant in real life, I have a pretty good idea what the ‘big thing’ next week will be, especially since they had a discussion about mommy Bones two weeks ago, but I sort of hope I’m wrong.
“Did you know, that 57% of all deaths that occur in the workplace, occur on a Thursday evening? I’m sorry, I just spout out irrelevant trivia when I’m dying. I’m so sorry…”
I know, I was really hoping for one last bit of trivia!
OK, even though I was expecting it, it was sadder than I expected. The sub-plot was shaping up to be fun, until they got all serious.
It was a pretty good episode, even with the sadness.
So, I am thinking that yes, they did indeed do it. I’m not sure that is a good thing, but I guess we’ll see.
I’m hoping they didn’t do it. Has ANY series ever survived the resolution of sexual tension between two principal characters? Northern Exposure, Moonlighting, Frasier…
A baby could be worked into the series. I could see Booth and Brennan remaining unmarried and having many squabbles over parenting issues (e.g. discipline, religion), in addition to their usual poorly written crime-of-the week.
I thought this episode was sweet, but I still hate how I have to overlook implausible plot lines each week. For instance, the assassin being such a good shot that he could have worked out all the physics involved with shooting someone through the heart from that distance, through a window, using thermal imaging as a target. Having never been in the Jeffersonian, how would he know where Booth spends his time, or that he’d be conveniently standing under a sun roof when he made the cell phone call – which is the only location in the building where the bullet would penetrate??
And why would Booth allow all those innocents to go on home, unprotected and with an assassin on the loose, but insist that Brennan spend the night with him – on his couch, close to windows?
I found it highly improbably that anyone under the age of 45 or so would know the lyrics to “Put the lime in the coconut.”
And, finally, I’m wondering when the Department of Antiquities in Egypt will realize that one of their mummies is missing?
When Booth and Brennan went to his apartment, it occurred to me that neither of them should sleep in the bed, as that’s where someone would expect to find a person when they’re at home at night. Duh. I thought he should sleep on the couch, and she should have been in some sheltered area in a pile of blankets… like in a closet or something.
Cam used to be such a sparkly foil for Tempe; now she has about five administrative lines per episode. Angela should get smaller teeth. And wear less-revealing clothes, pregnant or not. Anyhoo.
Why? I do and I’m 31.
And what the hell is a sniper doing in a crane? Isn’t one of the things completely fictional loner assassins do is escape quickly once they’ve shot somebody?
I, er, got something in my eye when Nigel-Murray died, though.
By the way, Super Sniper Booth, I think there’s a reason you’d use a sniper rifle, and it’s not to run around a shipping yard with. Play to your strengths, Fictional Action Hero.
Yeah - and he shot him in the leg - calf even - at the minimum he should have been aiming for ‘center mass’ and maybe got him in the thigh due to his movements, but as good a shot as booth has been shown to be, a leg shot was just - wrong.
