But wait, the butler fell on his sword. The implication was the father did it. Daddy then allowed the butler to take the blame.
I’ve not watched the show enough to be that invested in it - only picked up a few episodes here and there.
But the breakup didn’t make any sense. “you don’t trust me” “you don’t trust me, either”? what? how is that not trusting? what color is the sky on your planets? It was just stupid.
It’s proof to me that communication between people is WAY overrated.
I hated the breakup, it was just plain stupid. But I saw a spoiler and knew they weren’t going to let them be happy. Although nothing tops the stupid that was last seasons finale.
They are also putting Sweets in the script way too much, I guess to convince us he’s cool and even better than Zach. It’s not working, he’s getting even more annoying.
Sadly the Booth character is starting to make this series unwatchable for me.
Someone get him his ritalin already.
Being upset because your fiancee’s ex is around is normal. Being upset because your friend boinks your ex is normal. Breaking up over it is what crappy writers do to manipulate their characters cuz they’re bored.
That was my take on it as well.
Chalk me up as another who hated the breakup. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if one of them makes a death bed announcement of undying love by the end of the season.
Hear hear. What was it about that guy that made someone say “Let’s take this annoying turd and make him a recurring player?”
I work with a guy who looks like Sweets, and I can’t stand the guy, so I’ve started referring to him as Sweets. But only in my head.
He just hasn’t revealed his true form. Soon they will all be dancing and singing as they pour out their innermost thoughts, instead of sitting and talking, causing all kinds of troubles in their relationships.
And ever so fortunately Angellus is there to end him.
I liked Angela and Hodgens together… but apart- whatever. I just think the breakup scene was poorly written. “Who’s the one not stopping me?” Bah!
Well, from what I know they are holding back the DVD release of Season 3 (due out Nov. 18) because what was broadcast as the season opener of this season was actually part of last season that didn’t air due to the writers’ strike. Because of that, the S3 DVD set will include the first four episodes of S4.
So I guess it didn’t make a good opener because it wasn’t meant to be. As for Hodgins and Angela, I think they are setting up for a change of focus, if you get my drift.
According to Hart Hanson, this season Bones and Booth end up ‘naked and in bed’ together, so it makes sense for them to break up the other long-running couple so that it doesn’t get too 90210.
I hope Booth is still in a coma from the gun shot and these are still his hallucinations. The “knocked up” reference proves that the episode did not happen.
I poo-pooed this but asked anyway. Shows how wrong a brother can be. Yes that’s true, and it keeps alive the Booth’s Bad Dream theory for a couple more weeks.
Jeez, we can only hope. And Booth was a total characature (that doesn’t look right) of himself in this. Very annoying.
I was fairly underwhelmed by these episodes. Sweets was the highlight for me, which tells you something. I saw the breakup coming a mile away, but only becase I know how writers think, not what those characters should have done. If they actually break up over that, then they’re clearly a lot weaker couple than they thought.
If Bones and Booth become a couple, the show will turn completely awful. Remember Moonlighting?
I am very happy they broke up, because I HATE PDAs at work–I’m with Clark, it’s completely inappropriate. Let’s run off and christen the storeroom–yuck.
Well, pooh. I missed it!!
I hope they replay it sometime soon.
You can catch the episodes onFox’s website. You have to use their player, but at least you can watch it.
