BOO! It's A Hallowe'en MMP

bumba, I’m with you on the clunkiness of Windows 10. I had to google several things to figure out where they hid them.

gotti, ham quiche and croque monsuirs sound like good menu options for you.

Good luck with your tobacco free life wet one. It’s been almost eight years for me.

Got the packages mailed, the bed remade, and most of the Xmas shopping done (mine is minimal). When I got back, I took Nelson to the dog park. He got to run with his doggy buds to his heart’s delight. Shortly before leaving, a couple that we hadn’t seen for a few months came in with their two schnauzers. The 15 year old one that they used to bring had passed, so it was the eight year old and their new, five month old pup. The puppy was adorable, but high energy and a little aggressive. It didn’t help that they were the biggest dogs on the small dog side. Fortunately, it was dark quickly and we all had to leave before the parks and rec guy came around to lock up.

Any of you Mumpers sell on eBay? I am thinking of giving it a try (used to a couple jobs back for Then Boss) and I got some questions. If you would be open to some PMs back and forth or maybe a phone call PM me or something.

I remember when LA had the torches and pitchforks out when it jumped from 1.25 to like 2 plus in a week then it went back down but it went up again but slowly over a few months and no one protested over that then i think it spiked around 06 or 7 to 3 bucks plus and there was protest but not as much

now i think 4-4.25 is the ceiling and unless there’s a glut on the oil market it doesn’t go below 3

its like they test to see whats the highest they can get …then lower it and raise it back up a few cents at a time and no one notices…

Evening all.

Left the house at 6:30am for the soccer tournament and got back home about 5:30pm…to say I am sore and tired does not do justice to how I feel…and since I’m such a good coach, my teams advanced and I have 6 games tomorrow starting at 8am…

Just hope I live through it.

MMP read but brain is not processing so best wishes, hugs, laughs, groans and otehr appropriate emotive states.

Got to remember to turn the clocks back tonight (daylight saving time ends tonight in Ali-bama.

All y’all take care.

Fuel prices you say? Come over this side of the pond if you wanna see fuel prices! Locally, it’s currently hovering around £1.23 a litre. I think that’s a bit over $7 a gallon? It has been higher…

We had interesting weather here yesterday, for a change; the rain went proper torrential, with the wind, we got trees down and landslides in town. Today’s just normally rainy. I should go out 'n do something, but it’s pretty uninviting out there.

Happy Sunday!

It’s a chilly 36 degrees outside, supposed to be clear and N.O.S. with a high of 52 today.

Ripple woke me up this morning, something he seldom does. According to my fit bit thingie - it’s not really a fit bit, but I don’t remember what it is - it was 6am. I figured since I have to get up at 6:45 I may as well get up. My phone said it was 5 am. I have to figure out how to change the time on the fit bit. And the truck too I guess. My son can do the microwave and oven clocks.

So I am up too early, and too tired to do anything.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 43 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 68 and N.O.S. for the day. The big plan of the day is one large and in charge deheathenization. The Bishop will lead a forum at nine-thirty, followed by deheathenization proper (I have ush duty), followed by First Sunday brunch, followed by the Vestry meetin’ with the Bishop. We’re goin’ in separate vehicles cause OYKW can get outta there after brunch. Smart move on his part, I say.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence along with the warmin’ up of corn casserole and green beans.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Woke stupid early, even considering the time change. On the plus side, by 6:30 (adjusted time) I had 2 punkin pies in the oven. When they’re done, I’ll build the sketty sauce, and a little later, I’ll start the pot roast - in the slow cooker, I think. Or maybe even in the oven - that has the added bonus of heating part of the house! We’ll see how it goes.

**FCD **wanted to go to Red Robin last night - he likes their chili, so I decided to have the “French onion soup.” NEVER AGAIN!!! The broth was sooooooo salty - even my sweetie said it was salty, which I’ve never heard him say before. And not only were the onions not truly caramelized (which I wouldn’t expect at RR) - they were crunchy!!! Truly awful! But the wedge salad was good as usual, and we got a 20% veteran’s savings, so that made up partly for the nasty soup.

As far as I know, the only reason we’ll leave the house today will be to take my car to the shop. It’ll get its oil change a few hundred miles early, but the plastic stuff forward of the right wheel well needs to be patched up or replaced. Which means I’ll be mostly car-less tomorrow. No big deal…

Happy Sunday!!

I popped a pimple on a date once; didn’t go well. She was offended when I reached across the table & popped her zit.

I took some pics of angel figurines this week; there are 17 of them out in front of Marjory Stoneman Douglas high. :frowning:

Long but fun day yestidy, & up waaaay too early this morn but NYC marathon soon, which I is working at.

The punkin pies are out of the oven and it smells soooooooooo good in here!!!

Time to make the sketty sauce!

Up at 5:30am, getting ready for soccer starting at 8am again (slightly warmer thanks to daylight savings…up to 37F…

At least today I have a 90-minute break from 11:30-1pm so that all the religious people can be religious (heathen me will get something to eat and drink). Games will stretch to 5:30pm again. Almost glad the season is almost over (may have a couple teams qualify for the Area tournament, which will keep us busy to nearly Thanksgiving). It has been exhausting.

Need to forage now for some sustenance and start putting on the layers of clothing. all y’all have a good Sunday.

And the sketty sauce is simmering. SIL helped me get the mulcher/vac out of the shed. It’s got 2 flat tires, plus the mower doesn’t want to start. I’ll deal with it a little later. For now, I need to decide how I’m going to make the pot roast.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasting and a load of clothes in the wash. The only thing that I’ll have to leave the house for today is my eye appointment this afternoon.

Home from the park. It wasn’t so bad when I got there, but by the time I left it was starting to get windy and cold.
I was there for over 3 hours, so my pups got a pretty good romp. Ripple was ready to come home, I think Echo would live there.

Don’t know what I am doing today. I have a lot to do, just don’t feel much like doing anything.

Went to the ED at 2am because I couldn’t breathe. Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. Had 2 Albuterol breathing treatments, an X-ray to rule out pneumonia, and 60mg of Prednisone with another 4 days of it. Stopped for a sausage McMuffin with egg on the way home around 4 or 5. Couldn’t tell with the time change plus I was very tired yet shaking. Got home and slept for 3 hours.

Twenty fours hours smoke free.

Sketty sauce is now cooling so I can bag it and freeze it. The front lawn has been de-leafed. I’ll do the back tomorrow. The clotheslines are full of diapers and I don’t want the leaf dust getting all over them.

In a couple of hours, I’ll start the pot roast for supper - in the oven this time. I found a recipe that sounds promising. Meanwhile, I think it’s time to do something with yarn.

Princess Pepperwinkle saw a T-shirt:

We have tix for the 14:50 showing of Terminator: Dark Fate today. We’ll have Japanese food after.

Feel better soonest WetOne. Lazy day here. No motivation at all. It’s nap time then laundry time. I made a pot of chicken and rice so that shall also be supper but I will add some biscuits and peas so it’s like a real meal.

Happy Sunday. What happened to Saturday this week?

Pot roast is in the oven, and I’ve got two baggies of sketty sauce in the freezer. I’m boiling some pasta so I can eat the last little bit of sauce that I couldn’t possibly have squeezed into the baggies.

Just watched the last of *Poldark *on Prime. The next season is the current one on Masterpiece - gotta see if they have On Demand.
