Can we drop this section now please? It’s time to put up the Xmas lights.

Would a turkey-themed forum be redundant?
Christmas lights? Really?
It is the first week of November.
Can’t we please wait until after Thanksgiving?
How about a Thanksgivukkah forum? There could be an outbreak of Old Testament prophet and/or American Indian names.
I call Habakkuk!

And in Thailand, there’s the kings birthday (December 5) and Constitution Day (December 10). And there’s also Loy Krathong, which falls on November 17 this year, not an official holiday but still a major event.
I think Czarcasm has a great idea. Forums for every possible holiday/famous person, etc. Like a Google Doodle.
Why is Indiana celebrating Washington’s birthday on Dec. 24?
We’re getting the day off work on Christmas Eve in Indiana, and then working on Washington’s Birthday to make up for it; in other words, we get Washington’s Birthday off, but we’d rather have off Christmas Eve, so we just say it’s for Washington’s Birthday when it’s actually Christmas Eve.
One forum for all holidays-just change the name as required. We could have the Mods of that holiday forum decide on which holidays to celebrate at their whim. Once the new forum name is up, all threads about the previous holiday are locked off until that holiday comes up again and the holiday mods decide to list it again.
This looks like a job for:
Also:
Nov 10: USMC Day
Nov 13: Sadie Hawkins Day
Nov 15: World Philanthropy Day
Nov 21: Great American Smokeout
Nov 23: National Adoption Day
Dec 1: World AIDS Awareness Day
Dec 10: Human Rights Day
Dec 15: Bill of Rights Day
and that doesn’t even begin to touch the oddball ones.

I’m with you. I have a rule at our house. One holiday at a time. The tree and the Christmas decorations don’t go up until the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Still getting some action.
We’ll give it another couple of days and then, like The Great Pumpkin, it will go away.
…but it will haunt us forever.
Heh heh heh. Runner pat said boob.
