BOOM BLOX (and related problem)

Picked this up the other day and it is a well polished addictive game like many review have said. Who doesn’t love puzzle solving mixed with jenga-like towers that get knocked, tipped, and blown apart in slo-mo action.
I played all the games in the first level making sure to get the gold medals for each. Taking your time analyzing the setups and placing your throws precisely was great fun.
Now on the second level the games consist of a “defend the stronghold” action where enemies rush at your fort trying to steal away gems and run off with them while you aim and throw bombs at them.
And therin lies my problem. To throw a bomb you aim a cursor on screen with the wii-mote, hold down A, wind up and overhand throw the bomb releasing A when pointing at the screen again. You have to do it repeatedly quickly to succeed. Simple right? Well everytime I throw a bomb there is a glitch/delay where the cursor doesn’t reappear on screen. So I’m left madly shaking the remote trying to find where the cursor went. Not fun.
Anyone else have this problem? Any solution?

Hmmm. I noticed rare similar behavior, but I can’t figure out the root cause yet…

Fantastic game, though.

I haven’t tried that part of the game yet, so I can’t say what the problem is, but how far away from the sensor are you? Does moving closer help?

It’s on a 50" set sitting about 6 feet away. For other games like Zelda and Mario Galaxy you always have the wii-mote pointed at the screen so it tracks fairly accurately. But it seems the motion of quickly pointing it at the ceiling or the back of the room and then back at the screen it losses it’s tracking.
Fresh batteries didn’t help either.

Have you tried dimming the lights? And are there any windows nearby? Sometimes other light sources can interfere with the Wii. You may also try adjusting the sensor bar sensitivity on the main Wii menu and see if that helps.
