I bought this game the other day. Wally World had it on clearance for $20. I’ve messed with it a little, but I’m running into some frustration. Neither room where I have a TV lets me get back quite as far from the tv as what the game really requires, even with the wide angle lens attached. The intro to the game says you should be back about 6 feet, but 9 or 10 feet is more like it. I’m also having trouble with the game not registering it when I touch one of the spheres in the various games. Maybe it’s an illumination issue.
Anybody else got this? Is it possible to get it working well enough to have the fun outweigh the frustration or did I waste $20?
I don’t have kinetic, but I have played some of the other games. The only full version I have is operation spy. It took awhile to get used to it and I did have the same spacial issues you seem to be having.
There should be a setting that is something like bright room/ dim room. Setting that correctly helped a lot.
It also helped to recognize that you can “cheat” by standing close to the screen (the camera really). Then just move as far back as you can and “cheat” less.
It also helps to dramatize your movements. If you are supposed to put your hand in a specific place, put your hand there and then wave it or flap your fingers.
I have learned to love the eye toy because the games a more physical than you might expect, even in operation spy which is not specifically exercise related. (The sky diving is too cool.)
