My night ended poorly. I got cuagt bluffing ad the only reason I did was because I think I was getting frustrated, I won the one big hand and then my stack got whittled away. still good sized, but I was just getting frustrated, got AK and a bad flop,but I think I did the stupid thing of thinking “I’ll be damned if I am not going to get anything out of this AK” and bet pretty big and then kept firing through a blank turn and river. Bad Bad poker. Duke made an excellent call with just a pair of fours.
Actually, I had A 4, four cards to a wheel (3 6 5 on the flop). 2 came on the turn, so I had a 6 high straight at the turn and re-raised your $900 bet to $1800. You went all in, another 2 on the river, but too little, too late.
Ah, I thought you just had a pair of fours. Doesn’t change the fact that with nothing I played that pretty poorly.
Was this in another tournament, or was it really $1800?
That was last night’s SDMB tourney. I had to have a 2 or 7 on the turn or I was gone, got the 2. If a 4 would have come on the river, GO would have out-kickered me!

A 4 on the river would have given you both a straight, right? Kickers don’t enter into it.
Yeah, I guess you’re right on the kicker. I’m so used to getting the short end of the kicker-stick I always figure on getting the worse, but we both would have made a straight on the board.
