Are you sure he had another heart attack? Ventricular tachycardia is an abnormally fast heart rhythm that is more likely to happen to someone whose heart has been damaged (like someone who has had a heart attack) but it’s not a heart attack in and of itself.
Just wanted to point out that distinction because I know how scary the phrase heart attack can be.
Hope that your dad makes a fast recovery. Have his doctors explained to him what would be involved in getting the pacemaker? Sometimes older guys like that can be very very stubborn about taking care of themselves unfortunately.

The Hospice Doctors came today.
His heart, lungs, and kidneys are basically shot.
6 months or less.

Aw man. I’m so sorry to hear that. At least he has family who care nearby. As others have said, don’t forget to take care of yourself.

I am so very sad for you. I was feeling sorry for myself because my wife informed me two weeks ago that she wants a divorce. Surprise! No ugliness, I haven’t done anything awful, she just “isn’t in love with” me any more. Reading for diversion, I encounter your thread. Damn! My problems seem tiny in comparison to what you’re going through now. I wish you all possible strength and hope.
