The Boston Dopers (although you don’t have to live in Boston Propah to attend ;)) are getting together and wanted to alert anyone in the area to join us.
Saturday, August 16, 7:00pm. The tentative location is Boston Billiards in Kenmore Square near Fenway Park. It’s accessible by the T and there is free parking in back as well. (No Red Sox game that day.) The group went there last time and all reports were positive.
In order to facilitate nailing down plans, we’re asking folks to send suggestions for alternate locations by this Saturday, June 19, 6:00pm.

Really, you owe it to yourself to come, if only for the joy of being in the Fenway area on a non-game day. No massive crowds on the T! Parking a-plenty! No fears of running down throngs of people who are all wearing shirts which say “Garciaparra” on the back (as if anyone’s going to really mistake them for Nomar…)!
Hey I’m in the fenway area on a non-game day about once a month! Soon to be once every two weeks. Then once a week. Then for a whole week! (But I will be stuck on the maternity floor of Beth Israel hospital)

Am I really posting? Will this actually go through? Will my dog unplug the computer half way into the process? Are aardvarks really our friends? Is lux fiat really, really intrigued? Is tanookie really Nomar? Have you ever seen them in the same room together?
Will I snort again if I reread Davebear’s post? Will Quasi really join us if we promise to send an aardvark to Georgia in exchange? And how exactly did lorene make the llama-mama connection?

Dude! Three pages, and no consensus! I feel your pain. You shoulda seen the scrambling to get the Cambidgeside Dopefest settled.
Maybe we could arrange some sort of Aardvarks For Armadillos swap. Ya’ll have armadillos down there, doncha? Maybe the knowledge that they’d be in the presence of such a noble beast would rouse some interest.
