I did a quick search and didn’t find these answers, so forgive me if I’m being tiresome, but what exactly is a Dopefest? How does it work? (I’ve always not paid attention to the threads, but I live in MA so it might be something I’d be interested in doing)
A bunch of Dopers get together and drink. Sometimes dinner is involved, but that seems superfluous to me.
I still feel badly about suggesting that place. In my defense, the other location I had been to allowed big tables of people to do the Happy Hour specials. 
Can’t make it, going skiing.
Why? The food was a little expensive, but it was delicious, and everyone had a good time. I think it was a great suggestion.

I’m a long time lurker and have recently started posting. I’ve never attended a Dopefest, though I’ll see if I can make this one. 
So we’re on? Are we meeting at 6:00 or 7:00?
And we’re meeting at Durgin Park? Do we have a reservation?
I’ll be there. 7:00 would be better, to let traffic die down a bit more.
I can do 7:00. I’ll just have to find a cool place to hang out and read for a while.
So any followup? did you have fun? Any fist fights?

It was a small gathering, but lots of fun.
I won all of the fist fights except one. mmouse is TOUGH!
