Boston Dopefest soon?

I sent a PM to Contrary. I hope she can make it. It’s relatively close for her.

Are we still on for this Wednesday?

I am!

Yup. I’ll be there with bells on. Also pants.

I’ll be there. Look for the man without a pelican on his shoulder.

Sorry I can’t make it – even if money allowed, which it doesn’t shakes fist at 14 months of no work I now have a fever and a stomach virus. Plus I got stuck out in my foyer yesterday with wet hair in a robe and slippers for about 90 minutes. Banner week, lemme tell you.

It’s sad that some people can’t make it.

But for those of us that can – head count? We should probably make a reservation.

beebs, that’s a rather fetching picture. So… what’s your sign?

I don’t think I can make it. Being unemployed doesn’t help. And I just got back from a Conference (someone else paid to send me there and stay, thank og) and have to tie up lots of loose ends yet.

Sorry

I’m in. In C, that would be…

headcount = headcount + 1;

Uh…what Robot Arm said.

In Corporate Speak that would be, I’ll interface with you all later. Thanks for having me be at the table. I hope to value-add.

Hawkeyeop and I are in.

So it looks like me, Robot Arm, beebs, lorene, mmouse9799, Hawkeyeop, Spatial Rift 47, Elvis L1ves, and Elysium. According to the New Math, that looks like 9 fancy shirts and 18 flashy shoes.

Looks down

Let’s say 8 and 16.

16 flashy shoes, then.

I called and made a reservation for 6:00, under the name of Cecil. (“Can you spell that, please?”)

6:00 now?

Either is fine, and I can stay out as late as I want, just want to make sure we’ve got our stories straight.

I did say 6:30, didn’t I?

The reservation is for 6:00, but I can show up at either time.

I can be there at 6.

ETA: Contrary, I am so sad about your run of bad luck! Feel better, sweetie!

6:00 is fine for me…though I bet some won’t see this in time. Though with a place like F&I it doesn’t really matter as much as long as we all do connect…

I’ve got blue suade shoes!

My shirt is not bright (grey) and my shoes are ho-hum. Such are the sartorial choices of a commuter in melty season.

I had a very nice time seeing all of you last night! It does, however, seem like none of the Dopefests I make it to have us seated at round tables, so I am generally a little bit conversationally challenged.

Hope everyone made it home safely. I was approached and talked to at length by a man who introduced himself as “Homeless Danny” just outside of Back Bay station. He asked me for a quarter because he wanted to buy a 40-ounce beer, which I thought was pretty darn honest of him. It was an interesting end to the evening.
