In last week’s April Fool/Corporate Sellout issue, the Weekly Dig (the free upstart kid weekly that clearly wants to be the new Phoenix) printed several can’t-take-it-seriously reviews. But my favorite is the one they did on McDonald’s.
It’s history, now, so I can’t link to it, but I must submit some of the coicer lines.
they art by giving McDonald’s five out of five stars (if the April 1 date didn’t tip their hand, that should have). Then they pile it on with the subheading The American Classic Still Can’t be Beat.
I find the Weekly Dig kinda hit or miss. Sometimes they are genuinely funny but more often they are just a bunch of snarky hipsters taking cheap shots.
