But I suspect, (note “suspect” as opposed to know) that she could do more than complain on the Internet. After the fact and after she gets it together then by all means tell us her story. Although not perfect there are many agency’s that can help her. She did not say she availed herself to those options.

As has been noted, a company might only accept online applications, and if someone is living in her car or sleeping rough, then having an email address is a way of providing contact info. Being able to have such a contact might be the difference between getting a job and not getting one.

I am all in favor of my tax dollars being used for free internet at the library. Hell, when my internet service was out, I’ve used the public library computers myself just to check in with people. And if someone uses the library internet to maybe get a little support from online friends, it might give her the courage to go on.
