Bothered by not knowing an answer to any answerable question

I suspect this is strictly a human trait but would also be curious if anyone knows any examples in the animal world. I get extremely bothered by not knowing the answer to some types of questions. Riddles would be a good example of this. Today someone showed a picture of a bone and challenges us to identify it. It was driving me nuts and I finally asked them to send me a private message with the answer. I would imagine this trait was a major driver in human development.

I’m sure it’s not too the same degree, but cats and dogs sure seem interested in knowing things like “Who’s outside?” “What’s that noise?” and “What did you bring into the house and where has it been?” These are, of course, pretty basic questions with concrete answers, but although a dog would must likely not care what name a bone had, it would be very deeply interested in that bone and its provenance.

Cats in particular are persistent about finding the source of a noise. This is how I found out that we had mice.
