Botticelli - December 2017

I think insects are animals, but in any event this mystery critter is not an insect.

Or a horse or a kangaroo…

Not Kanga from Winnie the Pooh…

I’m stumped, but I’m still thinking on it.

My best guess. DQ: Are you a horse named King?

I am not.

All others with earned “Are you Firstname Lastname?” questions, please ask them by 4pm EST tomorrow.

I’ve wracked my brain and can’t think of the answer. I concede.

Likewise. I spent some time thinking it might be a rabbit from Watership Down, this fits most of the criteria but not the American author. I reckon it’s a horse, but probably not one I have heard of.

OK, time’s up. I am perhaps the most notoriously-slain horse of book and movie history,

Khartoum

The name is spoken twice at 0:53 here, in the original The Godfather: - YouTube

Ah. I’ve never cared for Hollywood’s romanticizing of gangsters and the Mob, and consequently am one of the few people who’ve never seen the movies. I’ve heard of the scene, but I can safely say I’ve never heard the name. Nevertheless, I think that counts as a great choice, and you should go directly to the next round.

It’s been years since I’ve seen the movie, and I remember the scene, but forgot that the horse had a name. So, I can’t say I’ve never heard of it. Good job, EH.

Thanks! Right, then. Our next letter, naturally, is

L

Merry Christmas!
