IQ1: Were you killed on the day the music died?

1 is Bill Bruford, who was a founding member of Yes, joined Genesis on tour after Peter Gabriel left, and went on to spend many years in King Crimson.
2 is Isaac Brock, for whom Brockville, Ontario and countless Brock Streets, Avenues, and Boulevards are named.
3. is Borachio, who sports with his girlfriend Margaret at her window to trick Claudio into believing that Hero is unfaithful, causing, well, much ado about nothing.

I’ll hold onto these until Elendil’s Heir’s DQs are answered, if I may.

Almost to twenty…

It looks like you’ve posted neither an answer nor a DQ to my question, and I think Etv’s last question was an IQ rather than a DQ.

My IQ also references EH’s 1st guy.

Thanks. I thought it might, but wasn’t sure.

Sorry - thought I had answered that. :smack:

DQ.

Sorry - that just didn’t look like an IQ!

DQ.

I really should know #2, but take three DQs.

  3. Were you one of the earliest recording stars whose keynote was performing works by George M. Cohan?

Previous IQs:

Were you a very large rap star who was shot to death in L.A.? - As noted, this was Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie Smalls. Since etv78 asked about him first, I’ll waive my DQ.
Were you the cavalry commander who saved the first day of Gettysburg for Union forces? - Brig. Gen. John Buford.
Did a critic compare you to a small garden component? - Texas political satirist Molly Ivins dubbed George W. Bush “Shrub.”

DQs:

Black?
Best known as a musician?

Did you write the short story collection Manifest Destiny?
Did you appear, seated, in a Pepsi ad with a singer and a dog?

I was thinking of Bam Magera.
