Bottle Caps candy now suck

I got a dozen tubes of bottle caps candies and they SUCK!
I don’t like the cherry flavor and all of the tube were, no exaggeration, 50% cherry.
Remember how they were almost all cola and root beer with a few fruit ones? The record for this bunch is that one tube had 3 cola/root beer combined.

At this point, why even buy them?

Bummer, man.
That does suck.

Give em away to friends.

Used to be lemon-lime, and there was no cherry.

I like Sweetarts. Sorry if that’s blasphemy. They’re not the same, but I still enjoy them.

I have an idea (never ate them) cherry might be a fan favorite.

I would take that mix. I don’t like the root beer ones.

Ouch, that’s rough. The reason to be Bottle Caps is for the cola and root beer flavors.

You think the candy manufacturer would have done some research into the favored flavors and upped it.
Or they did and found the younger set likes the fruity flavor better. I mean, that would be their target customer.

We old. Go get you some coffee nips.

I like Sweetarts, too. There used to be lime! There used to be lime Life Savers in the five-flavor roll. All the green hard candies and suckers used to be lime! Now they’re some lousy green apple, or worse, watermelon!

At least Mike & Ike still have lime. Lime rules!

I haven’t been able to find the hard SweetTarts in quite some time. Everyone stocks the disgusting chewy ones instead.

I miss the old giant (hard) single SweetTart that was like 4" wide and 2 1/2 " thick and by the time you finished with it your tongue had no skin left on it.

I saw them at a Candy Craze shop not too long ago. I just stared at it. Trying to figure out how much sugar that compacted hockey puck contained.

Ooh, me too! I haven’t seen those in years.

Turns out there wasn’t really a licorice flavor, those were just hockey pucks.
