I’ve seen this article going the FaceBook rounds. Can anyone here confirm or refute these stories? I haven’t seen anything from any sources that I would call ‘unbiased’…
Here’s one from FoxNews, which I would think would be opposite of those environmentalist sites.
I thought I saw it on CNN last night too. Of course, all these sites are getting the info from this one captain.
I heard that BP was catching those cute little clown fish from Finding Nemo and eating them alive.
Well, that’s part of why I ask - the truth about the spill is bad enough without making stuff up…
I saw the Fox News article a few days ago. Unfortunately, I can easily see this happening. Part of it is probably just plain laziness by the people doing the burns. Also, there most certainly is an incentive to just go ahead and burn the turtles without telling anybody. They can’t be fined or put in jail if nobody can prove they they harmed an endangered species.
I always thought that Tony Hayward looked suspiciously like Keanu Reeves…
I burning your turtle!
While I don’t know if it’s true or not, my first instinct when reading it was “Of course they’re not going to let people go into the middle of a fire to rescue turtles. Then they’d be answering for dead humans.”
