This was certainly our best Christmas ever. On Saturday, we got the official news that our daughter had been accepted in her dream college – American University in DC. They had already called her, so we knew she was in, but it was the letter that really made it great. We found out:

[li]She had been accepted into their honors program.[/li][li]They were giving her scholarships and grants that amounted to full tuition.[/li][/ul]
We were a bit nervous about the money going in, especially since she applied for Early Decision. And we hadn’t even considered she might be in their honors program.
She was floating on air. As are we.
