Woo to the Hoo! I just got accepted to Manhattanville College. They called around 6:30 and I’m still giddy at my first exceptance. It’s not my first choice - actually, it’s #3 of my top 3. (The other two are NYU and Stonehill University in Massachusetts.) But I have a safety school now!

Not only that, but I’m also getting a $10,000 scholarship and am up for another $2,000 scholarship for community service and leadership. We don’t know if it’s in one lump sum or yearly, but it’s money!

We’ve been calling all the relatives ever since I got the call. And since the Dopers are relatives (in a wild, crazy way), we decided to tell you guys, too.

Since there isn’t a wildly, estatic smiley I’ll just have to put two together. :slight_smile: +:D

Fabulous! Feels like a big weight has been lifted, right, to know that you got in somewhere? I remember that feeling. Of course I knew that someone would accept me, but it was so nice to have evidence.
