That’s a valid question, but I don’t recall any specific instances and it’s a difficult thing to search for. But that’s my definite recollection and it seems consistent with what several other posters to this thread have observed as well.

It doesn’t really make sense as sarcasm. I thought it was some kind of injoke i wasn’t getting when i read it, glad to know i wasn’t the only one who thought it was horrible.

As to why the image revolts people so, just consider:

The rape, therefore, would have to be committed with a particularly large or sharp object, or continue for a long time, probably with a large number of perpetrators.
Unless BH just meant good and decent people wanted to see a woman and / or her husband beaten to death or otherwise murdered, with a rape tossed in for good measure.
Call me PC; I find that abhorrent.
