Most of the Ticos look out on their feet. It’s hard enough going the extra 30 minutes, but they have to do it a man down. I think they’ll be very grateful if they can take it to penalties.

Mexican defender Hector Moreno’s leg was broken (fractured tibia) when he collided with Arjen Robben during today’s match.
Moreno was then subbed out at the 46 minute mark.
No umlauts! Sorry, it’s a pet peeve of mine. Very few Spanish words need umlauts. The notable exceptions this tournament is Argentina’s Sergio Kun Agüero.
My bad! I know, I keep confusing it. To be fair, there is another city that does uses them, and I get confused.

No. Apparently that was the non-call that perhaps the ref was making up for when he gave the penalty kick at the end of the match.
I only started watching in the second half and I think this is the longest match I’ve ever seen.
I can’t imagine how tired they must be.

Apparently the first shoot out for Greece, with Costa Rica having lost their last two in the Gold cup.
ETA yes the coach got sent off, but he spent another 10 minutes on the pitch to pick his penalty takers.

Well, the Greek keeper was injured (his back) a game or two ago and had to be subs out. He hasn’t really been tested today. The CR keeper has had some great saves today.
Costa Rica parked the bus for much of the match. I wonder if they’ll do the PK run-ups from their own box.
