Hmm, I’d have to disagree. Their first four games were pretty awful defensively. They looked better against Belgium, and obviously even better today. But I can’t tell if they are that much better at the back or if the Netherlands simply hasn’t attacked yet. Certainly Robben hasn’t had much of the ball.
Was that a clutch to prevent Robben from diving? Anyways he fell.
Demichelis: You mean I can’t just grab his arm and yank him off the ball?!? Who knew?
I think Solari may have been right about Demichelis.
Robben is floppin’ . Worst(best?) diver in this WC. Poor Fred from Brazil was really good (bad?) too.
So far this match resembles, to me, a meaningless end-of-season mid-table Premier League match.
I see nothing for the Germans to fear.
Floppin’ Robin
Tweet. Tweet. Tweedle-eet.
Too dull.
Turning off TV.
Will read tomorrow’s paper for result.
After doing the crossword and watering the tomatoes.
60 minutes and we look very far from anyone scoring. God, I hope this doesn’t go to penalties.
It is hypnotizing to watch Sabella gesticulating with the jumbotron showing him on a slight delay, repeating ad infinitum.
Both sides have been very good at closing down space. One for the purists
Hmmmm… Argentina looked to be robbed of a goal there…
I shall file that among my handy euphemisms for dull and scrappy. Along with “intriguing”.
I’m not sure about bringing Agüero on now. Can he play 40 minutes?
Not really since the ball was in the side netting, but looked like a bad offside call.
Required watching for any players on how to shut down Messi. Dunno how the pouring rain affects things.
He was onside but it went into the side netting. I don’t think he heard the whistle before his shot.
Fucking Agüero. He’s lucky not to get a card for that. Higuaín has had the only chances at goal so far. Not sure why Sabella took him out.
There was another chance just now…
And good save.
