This is an incredibly simplistic interpretation of today’s game. While i’d still be betting on Germany to win on Sunday, the fact is that we have two very strong defensive teams playing one another, and you can’t simply look at this game and assume that neither of them would have a chance against Germany.
Most of the attacking moves that Germany made yesterday would be shut down easily by either of these defenses. The lack of positioning and organization among the Brazilian defenders was almost comical, and we’ve seen nothing like that today.
Indeed. These defenses haven’t made a wrong step today and basically shut down two of the greatest players in the world - Messi and Robben. Great performances by both of these sides - I think Germany also would have problems getting goals against either.
I’d bet that better than half of Holland’s passes in this game have been backwards.

I think Sabella had made some awful subs. Agüero has been ineffective and Maxi Rodriguez? What, was Ariel Ortega not available? Wrong time to bring on an aging player who didn’t have a good first game.
