It just seemed odd that Skip scolded the poster(s) and then an hour and a half and one post later moves it to the pit anyway. The appropriate move should have been to just rifle it off to the pit asap without any drama at all.
The post that Skywatcher linked to demonstrated your opinion of people who pop up to point out imagined inconsistencies in people’s posting history. You certainly couched it as a display of disgust with folks who do so. If you meant to say that it’s disgusting for RTFirefly to do so but not for you to, it was unclear in your post. And it doesn’t resolve the essential problem of your unwillingness to adhere to your own standards.

It’s just that your post in this thread and what you clearly stated in the post Skywatcher linked to seem - well - almost to suggest that you’re hypocritical. It’s no skin off my back - I didn’t take your position that it’s foolish to look for consistency between posts. In fact, I’d do it myself if I didn’t have better things to do. It’s you who must decide whether or not to adhere to standards you expect others to hold. I have no desire to get involved in your own internal disputes.

No, the appropriate moderator action is what happened. It is the responsibility of each and every poster to recognize in which forum they are posting and to follow that forum’s rules. It doesn’t matter if a person posts an insult in a MPSIMS thread two seconds before it’s moved to the Pit; that he/she did so while the thread was in MPSIMS means he/she broke the rules.
Posters should post following the rules of which forum the thread is in, not in the forum they’d wish it to be.
It’s simple: is the thread in MPSIMS? If “yes” then don’t post a direct insult.

I disn’t see a snarbomb…did you see one? For your general information, I was offline for 15 months and therefore was UNABLE to participate on the board. Since I’ve been back online for about three months now I thought I’d lurk and see if any of the old drama queens such as yourself had changed any.
