Just to explore another aspect of the Breakfast universe.
Bagels
Biscuits
Croissants
Cinnamon rolls
Danish
Crullers
Yeast rolls
French Toast
Egg Toast (like French but unsweetened)
Dry Toast
Buttered Toast (broiled that way)
Cornbread
Muffins
Pop Tarts
Toaster Strudel
Pancakes
Waffles
Sourdough bread
What am I leaving out?
Did you miss breakfast this morning or something?
Hard rolls (Weck) and Pretzel bread are the two main ones I get for breakfast here. Sometimes they put out cakes.
What about just plain toast? White bread, wheat bread, rye bread toast?
Well, you mentioned muffins, but I’m not sure if you’re including English muffins. And then there are scones.

I’m not a breakfast person.
The topic that started with the Eggs poll was intriguing so I’ve been playing with it.
My breakfast, when I have it, may be cereal, cookies, leftover pizza, fruit slices, or stuff like I’m having today: Cheetos!
Half an English muffin with a smidge of butter or honey is all I could possibly swallow in the morning. Breakfast makes me nauseous.
Challah.
And my personal favorite…Challah french toast .
Cinnamon toast and raisin bread.
The ‘german apple pancake’ thing with fried apples and an eggy batter cooked in the oven.
Popovers
Banana bread french toast
Beignets and all the other ethnic variations of doughnuts (are churros eaten for breakfast?)
Hot Cross Buns (and if you want to divide cinnamon swirls from sticky pecan rolls that’s another)
Do packaged dry cereal, granola, and meuseli count as ‘bread’?
You could I suppose divide waffles into quick waffles and yeasted waffles, since they’re very different. And pancakes into quick, yeasted and sourdough.
And finally, the two ultimate breakfast breads: cold pizza and pie
Mmm… pie…

You have quite the obsession with breakfast food, don’t you?
Anyway, it’s my understanding there’s a difference between “Crullers” and “French Crullers.”

Let’s just call it a momentary interest.

To see if this all needs to be turned over to a poll, how many can offer a Top Ten from the list we’ve built so far? Or a Top Ten without reference to the list?
I feel this may be too many items (57) for a poll, but that’s just me.

Scones
Brioche
Babka
And another Jersey favorite, just a plain old buttered hard roll or Kaiser roll.
