Home at last. The Sonata has been serviced and I need to replace the right brake light. They’d have done it for me… for $18!!! Um, I have a spare bulb and a screwdriver - I’m pretty sure I can manage.
When I got home (LATE!!!) **FCD **and I decided Cracker Barrel would feed us. Now we’re back. He’s in the shower and I’m about to assume the crochet position.

There ya go.
Because vacuuming sucks? :o
Given we’re in Day Two of what looks to be our first heat wave of the year, I has decided to finally turned off the heater for the season. (If it’s warm enough, it doesn’t come on & iffn we get some of those 40° overnights, like we did just under two weeks ago, then it’s not so bad in the house. Costs next to nothing to just have the thermostat on, so I tend to leave it on until very late in the season.)
Because of the tree sex, I kept the ‘winders’ closed but finally opened them earlier because the house was heating up. Must remember to close the ground level ones in back when going out/to bed!
Debating whether to drag out Murphy for sleeping on the deck tonight or closing everything up & ::shudder:: turnin’ on the A/C.
Happy B-day, Sari!
Hunh? His wallet is on the coffee table, the silverware is in the third drawer of that cabinet thing in the dining room. Did you bring anything to eat?
Murphy is the air mattress, [del]which[/del] who gets flipped up against the siding in the morning. flytrap, feel free to stop by one overnight; address is:

Be sure to wear all black, & a mask so I know it’s you.
Just catching up and notice it is cold where Sunny is and way hot in Jawja. Our high today was probably 83 with a nice breeze and low humidity. Perfedt.
Tahred. TGIF tomorrow is Firday! been an interesting week thus far
It’s my day off, so naturally, I woke before 4 and couldn’t fall back to sleep. **FCD **isn’t getting up till 6 and I didn’t want to wake him, and after taking a minute to brush my teeth and find my robe in the dark, I left him to his pillows.
Higgs has completed her morning routine and she’s on the love seat behind me, licking and licking and licking. No clue where the cats are. There are a few things I *have *to do today and a few others I’d like to do - we shall see what actually is accomplished. I’ll leave laundry till tomorrow - it’s supposed to be a better day for hanging things out. I plan to get some ribs - they’re on sale at Food Lion - and with luck, smokeage will occur tomorrow. But for now, I have some time to kill, and what better place to kill it than on line?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 70 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 93 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. We may get some rain startin’ sometime tomorrow. Or not. It could rain for the next three or four days. Or not. TWPTB are bein’ vague on this one. Anywho, today is more sloth and chillage to include some quality cee-mint pond time. I will need to call the county utilities department this mornin’. The streetlight between my neighbor’s house and da cave is out. We pay three dollars a month for those stoopid streetlights so I expect them to work. Last time I called everyday for a week until it got fixed. Now that I’m retired I can call every hour on the hour if necessary. Maybe I’ll get to be known as the crazy streetlight man.
OK, I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should purtify somewhat and see what the day has in store. OYKW is still abed so I shall be quiet-like. I promise.
One place we lived in FL, the previous owners paid for a street light in the front yard outside the front bedrooms. We hated it and asked for it to be removed. A week later, the neighbors put one up on the same pole. At least it was on their side, so the light was partly blocked on our side. But I still hated that stupid thing.
Same with this house - they’d installed a big-ass street light type fixture on the end of the garage. But it just lit that end of the yard - didn’t shine on the driveway or anything. We disconnected it, and when we got new siding, we had the light removed. The night is supposed to be dark, dammit! I have no intention of making it easier for a potential burglar to see around our house!!
Big Fat Durwood Cat came upstairs twice this morning! First time to glare at me and the second time for belly rubbin’. He’s so much perkier now that the bad tooth is out. Maybe now he’ll come upstairs more often. He needs to–he’s gained 4 pounds and now he’s…
I have actually sorta kind accomplished sump’n. I went to Ferd’s to stock up on Diet Poopsie. We like Diet Poopsie and two liters are on sale for a dollah, limit ten, which I did.
Food Lion hadn’t gotten their delivery of ribs yet, dammit! So I’ve done a few things around the house, and now I’m going to try the other Food Lion in the hopes of scoring some ribs. Not much will be accomplished this morning, dammit.
blurfage Tis Command Challenge day which means all the command and tenant commands go into the ball field and play games in teams against each other and some one cooks up burgers and dogs. All this means there was no parking in my lot as I adjoin the field so I had to park on the street.
I foresee a half day of irk today cause I can. and TGIFirday.
My Reverend Grandparents once had a black poodley dog named Poopsie. They had another dog (not at the same time) named Utsey-Butsey-Boo-Boo-Boo, Utsey for short.
Do not ask my family to name pets. You may regret the outcome.
The other Food Lion had plenty of ribs, and I got a couple of 3# slabs that looked pretty meaty. Unfortunately, they’re frozen, so I can’t apply the rub just yet, but they will be rubbed and shoved into the freezer before I go to bed.
Guess I should clean the strawberries and make the cuke salad. But all of a sudden, I feel drained. ugh.
