Breakfast in the MMP

Happy Firday!

It’s a hot day out there, and a bit overcast. We’re supposed to get rain and the temps are supposed to dip into the low 70s.

Me to Cat: Spell ‘cat’ as in catsup.
Cat: stares at me
Me to Cat: C A T, now spell ‘water’ as in watermelon
Cat: stares at me
Me to Cat: W A T E R, now spell ‘flip’ as in treats
Cat: blinks
Me to Cat: there’s no ‘flip’ in treats,
and that is what I’ve been trying to tell you, there are no flippin treats
Cat: stares at me

He gives up, eventually.

I konmari folded my clothes yesterday, and now I have lots more room in my dresser. Fortunately, I am not the kind of person who sees an empty space and wants to fill it.

Who knew BigKitty has such a BIG kitty?

Bumba - my grandparents had lived in Thousand Oaks for a while. They went from Inglewood, to Thousand Oaks, to Yreka, to Sacramento. I liked the house in TO.

Started laundry this morning. I have lots to do, and need to get busier. The To Do List keeps getting longer.

Strawberries are rinsed and hulled. Time to make the cuke salad, I guess. I want a nap…

Sari, want to join the Royal Order of Siam? Repeat after me:

Spiderman: Ohwa
Sari: Ohwa
Spiderman: Tagu
Sari: Tagu
Spiderman: Siam
Sari: Siam

Spiderman: Now say that whole phrase together.
It’s hoomid today; I broke down & closed the winders & put the A/C on. :frowning:

Mooommm, you like chocolate & you like to make (knitted) clothing, why not combine the two & make a chocolate wrapper dress. The big question is what brand to use? I know you don’t like 'em, but with the various colors of Hershey’s kisses, that could be cool. (Lady) Godiva wouldn’t need much chocolate eaten. How about Lindt Lindor truffles?

Just don’t do one from Starburst wrappers; that wouldn’t be very original.

Shilling for the Philly Daiy News. Oh, the shame!

That’s right up there with the duct tape prom dresses.

Cuke salad is marinating in the fridge. Big pot o’sketty sauce is simmering on the stove. **FCD **is snoozing. Ribs need to be rubbed after I cut the slabs in half. Supper tonight will be grab whatever.

It’s stoopit hot out, so the house is closed and the a/c is on. Tomorrow will be nicer - highs in the 60s.

This one looks like Scarlet O’Hara going out with Fonzie.

I got all my erranding done, but I failed to miss the storm. Fortunately the hail stopped by the time I got to the driveway, but I still got soaked bringing my groceries in. And I’m missing a newly-bought tube of face scrub which probably fell out in the car. *And *I forgot to get frozen veg at the grocery store. Screw it, there’s another storm coming, I’ll get all that tomorrow.

Happy Belated Birthday, Sari!
Sorry I missed it.

The weather guessers are calling for 7 days of sun here, which is good, as I want to mow the lawn as soon as I can stand up straight. Apparently sitting in a car seat for 8 or 9 hours a day is bad for an old man’s back. It’s getting better though. I might even make an attempt at washing the two vehicles in our driveway today. We’ll see.

Kids be weird.
#1GrandDaughter used to make all sorts of things out of duct tape. Then she got married and started making children. NOT out of duct tape. So far she’s made three. #1GrandSon has made two. That’s right. We have 5 great grandchildren!

Yesterday the local Freddie’s (Kroger) store had 8 pieces of dark meat fried chicken on sale for $4.99, plus I got an extra 10% off for being a vet, so we had fried chickie and a salad for dinner. Tonight I will bake a couple of boneless, skinless chicken boobs, and arrange a veggie side of some kind. I’m not in full-on culinary mode just yet.

80 F here, with intermittent frog stranglers.

The wind is picking up and there are storms to the west - dunno if they’ll survive the trek across the Potomac. We shall see.

Howdy Y’all! In and all showered after quality cee-mint pond time. Although 'tis right warm out, the humidity is lower today so we stayed out there almost five hours. The water felt soooooooooooo good. Not to worry though, cause we applied SPF 30 generously all throughout the time we were out there. Tomorrow is a fifty percent chance of rain afternoon onward and the next four days call for anywhere from a sixty to ninety percent chance of rain so this may be the last quality cee-mint pond time for several days. Dindin shall be forage if’n you’re hungry.

My supper was cheese-n-crackers. Strawberries later.

I’s tahred…

We have a strawberry plant that is producing lots and lots of fantastic strawberries.

We also have a chipmunk that is eating half of the ripe strawberries and leaving the rest on the vine.

We also have a very lazy outside cat who would rather chase a mourning dove than a strawberry-stealing chipmunk.

Something’s gotta give.

I believe that I bought a car from this guy.

I got off work at 11:30, so I went to The Bistro for a beer and a burger. I ran some errands, went home and napped. Dinner tonight is chicken and bok choy stir fry with Ghost Pepper sauce. Watching hockey and drinking beer.

My last two cats were Lucretia D. HellCatt and Thrakazong. My on deck cat names are Lemmy, Zod, Landru ,and Rassilon. I might not be the best to ask, either.
And Alex Catt is 16lbs. Hence the nickname “Bowling Ball”

We shall now retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. I must get plenty of beauty rest tonight so I can be bright and chipper for mowage over to the church house in the mornin’. Can’t be half asleep and runnin’ down co-parishoners with a ridin’ mower now can I?

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Damn. I not only missed being first on page three by one post ---- I missed all of page three! Went shooting yesterday and right to work after cleaning up and did a double today to help pay for ------ fun. Yeah ---- fun. Replacement ammo had nothing to do with it. Doing breakfast with friends and then meeting different friends at Kennywood so I’ll catch up later.

No M5?

I almost got to use that on a telescammer. I answered the phone ‘Temple of Satan’. She wanted to speak to the homeowner. I started to give her instructions on how to summon the Prince of Darkness, but before I could get to the chanting part she hung up on me.
