Breakfast!

Breakfast is great, breakfast is good, not everyone has it, but everyone should.

What did you have for breakfast?

Me: Bacon, egg (fried in bacon grease!), pancake (with honey!), a nice cup of lapsang souchong tea and an apple. I’m out of Lipitor, but still a damn good breakfast, I think.

You?

Leftover Rice-A-Roni Spanish Rice made with Rotel spicy tomatoes and diced home-grown tomatoes.

And coffee.

This morning, I had half a cup of Egg Beaters with onion and garlic and some cheese, some strawberries, and a bagel thin. And coffee and milk. Everything a shrinking girl needs to start the day off right.

A latte, a toasted whole-wheat english muffin with butter, and three links of maple syrup flavored sausage.

Rye toast and coffee. :frowning:

A cheese sandwich. American cheese, mayonnaise and seven grain bread.

I was going to make eggs with pepperjack cheese, but then I saw we only had one egg left. :frowning:

So I ate a Fiber One bar and went grumpily on my way. My son asked for a grilled cheese sandwich.

Salty and Sweet Peanut cereal bar, a plum, cup of tea!

Fluffy scrambled eggs with cream cheese on a lightly toasted and buttered croissant, topped with bacon. Bowl of blueberries, raspberries and bananas topped with yogurt, cinnamon and agave. Coffee.

2 pieces of bacon, 1 egg over easy, 2 cheese and black pepper biscuits I made from scratch this morning. And Coffee.

Chicken Madras with Naan Bread and Pilau Rice (Cold and straight from last nights foil takeaway containers).

Yum.

Eggs scrambled with a whole lot of corn, a jalepeno, a mild chile from our garden, fresh tomatoes, and topped with pepperjack cheese. Half an avodcado with a squeeze of lime juice and salt on the side.

Coffee, a banana, and some greek yogurt.

Shooting this over to Cafe Society.

Fage Greek yogurt with banana slices and a drizzle of honey.

I would say that standard hot American breakfast foods are my favorite foods. Unfortunately, I had to be at work at 6 this morning, so I had to make do with a ham sandwich and a bag of chips.

Joe

Sausage and gravy biscuits and a big ol glass of orange juice…

Since today is my “eat what you want” day, I allowed myself a breakfast burrito from Jack in the Box.

(Normally it’s plain yogurt with agave nectar, Fiber One cereal and slivered almonds all glomped togeter.)

I served the family a breakfast casserole:

  • half an onion and a couple of garlic cloves diced and sauteed in olive oil
    mixed with:
  • diced bell peppers (3 colors) - about a cup
  • a pound of shredded potatoes
  • a can of Campbell’s Nacho soup (shortcut)
  • salt and pepper to taste - taco seasoning works too
  • topped with cooked diced bacon a shredded sharp cheddar.

bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until top is browned nicely (it sat in the fridge all night, I didn’t want to get up too early  )

Serve topped with diced tomato and green onions and a dollop of sour cream

Buttered raisin-cinnamon bagel and coffee.
