What's for breakfast?

I love the “What’s for dinner” and “What’s for lunch” threads.

My breakfast has been really dull up to today: I made 2 eggs over easy, 4 pieces wheat toast (buttered heavily) and hashbrown patties cooked 15 minutes+ on my GF grill.

Normally I just have yogurt at work.

So what did you have?

Two slices of leftover pizza (tomato and jalapeno). And coffee.

Today? Two cups of coffee and a slice of limpa bread. Throw in some fish and few kinds of potatoes and it’s be the perfect Swedish meal.

Limpa! I assume that’s like the Finnish Limpuu? I love that stuff!

This morning for me was eggs with some half & half scrambled in butter, with a dusting of Parmesan on top and a few slices of leftover ham sauteed in butter on the side. Mmmm, butter.

This morning: leftover Chinese food.

Tomorrow morning: it will involve eggs. I haven’t decided what else, yet.

Scrambled eggs with dill, whole wheat toast, and clementines. Also the usual morning latte.

Noodles in a béchamel sauce with tomatoes and green olives. Left over from last night.

Usually it’s nothing.

Ideally it would be fried diced potatoes and onions, scrambled eggs with American cheese, and maple sausage links, but I rarely have the time and/or inclination to go to that much effort.

We only had two eggs left, and no bread. So I scrambled the (extra-large) eggs and served them on steamed corn tortillas with bacon, shredded Cheddar, and Tapatio. Between the two of us we’ve had four tacos, and there are still enough eggs for a couple more.

Speciality de la maison. Bacon, egg, cheese, onion, HP sauce, english/french mustard, creme fresh in a big ol’ white bread sandwich.

or I might go down the local cafe and have a massive fry up.

Glass of orange juice, toasted garlic bagel with lox cream cheese.

My usual breakfast: coffee and oatmeal with plain yogurt, chopped walnuts and blueberries. Occassionally I’ll sub in pomegranate for the blueberries.

Tostadas.

Crispy corn tortilla, black bean refritos, sharp cheese, lettuce and tomato.

I smear the beans on the tostada and sprinkle that with cheese. I put those is the toaster oven (on “light”- sometimes I have to turn the toaster off and just let them sit there to warm up the beans but not over toast the chip) while I chop up a little lettuce and tomato.

Yum!

Pan birote with cream cheese.
and bacon salt.
Needed something quick to take with my antibiotics, and ran out of bagels.

Edit to add: I am not a breakfast person, at all, ever. Eating in the morning is hard, though I’ll happily make any amount of breakfast food at night.

Leftover chili. Even better than yesterday.

I almost never have breakfast for breakfast, unless we go out to breakfast!
This morning, breakfast was leftover steak and half of a baked potato from last night.

A nice big bowl of oatmeal with craisins and walnuts mixed in.

Mmm.

Scrambled eggs, biscuits, and bacon for the kids. I had biscuits and gravy (made it on Monday). Hubby had all four. Washed it all down with apple juice and followed it up with 2 cups of coffee.

Saturday is brunch day. We had bacon, sausage patties, waffles, and eggs. During the week, it’s frozen waffles, bananas, and/or bagels.

Peace - DESK

Today, MEAT. My gf started some goofy French diet, and I’m being supportive. Nothing but protein, water, and oat bran for the first week. Vacation is a month away and she is 5 pounds over her bikini weight (fuckin holidays).
