I rarely follow MJ news but I happenned to look at CNN today while the MJ show was on.
Man. This guy’s face! He has the same weird appearance of people who went head first in their windshield in a bad car accident, and were sewn back the best the doctor could.
But the guy did this willingly?
Weird.
Maybe they’re apprentice NAMBLA members ?
It’s still news, even if it was expected to happen.
Are you pitting the amount of coverage, the type of coverage or that it was covered at all?
The first two but it’s not as bad now. Then again, I’m on the opposite coast.
What bothers me is that if this wasn’t happening today, we’d be getting so much more footage from the Mars rover. And I for one would prefer that. If I’m going to see alien creatures, I’d prefer that they be at least potentially harmless.
I’m actually finding it amusing, in a trainwreck sort of way. Mainly because I just want to see what crazy, fucked up thing he’ll say next.
Michael Jackson is his own worst enemy. Which is sad, because I remember when he was cool. Remember Thriller? Man, I LOVED Michael when I was six.
And then…sadly, he went downhill, hit the bottom, smashed his face up against a few boulders and became the walking nightmare we are now seeing.
It’s very disturbing.

One of MJ’s crew says the jumping-on-top-of-the-SUV was a “spontaneous” act. What prompted him to say this, I don’t know, but :rolleyes: , in any case. Spontaneous? Yeah, a spontaneous act of attention-whoring! It really makes me fucking sick to think that this just seems to be another publicity op for him!
And yes, I know that by feeding this Pit thread, I’m not entirely absolving myself from being part of the problem. Still.
sturmhauke: And what the fuck does she mean, “dig deep enough”? Seems to me that the whole problem is that MJ’s claims of innocent friendship or whatever don’t stand up to close scrutiny. It’s because people did “dig deep” that there was enough evidence to get the ball rolling on this.

wHY WAS THE JUDGE SO PISSED OFF? Whenever I’ve been to court, the judges are ALWAYs late…and not by 20-30 minutes…more like 1-2 hours! Nobody seems to think anything untoward about this…except the poor fools whose lawyers are billing them for all that time sitting around in court!

I’m was sure I made a pit thread about the idiot fans who are so sure he’s innocent, but I can’t find it for some reason.
I can see having doubts either way, and although I suspect he’s guilty I’m open to the possibility he’s innocent, but by what logic do these dolts come the conclusion they’re sure he’s innocent? “I like his music so he couldn’t do anything bad?” Yeah, musicians have really proven themselves over the years to ALL be perfectly law-abiding citizens with no personal quirks or odd predilections…
I’m not sure if it was CNN or a local station, but I heard that one person came all the way from AUSTRALIA for this “event”. That’s a $3000 ticket right there ~ aside from accomodations, food, and $250 if they parked near the courthouse.
You realize, of course, that if Michael Jackson is convicted, the fallout will be terrible. Chimpanzees and werewolves everywhere will riot in the streets, flinging feces and dancing with zombie passers-by.
I’ve not seen judges be late routinely, and yes, I’ve seen them very angry when defendants are late. If the defendant is late, this costs the court their (taxpayer supported) time, plus all the other folks. Judges time is a valuable resource and should not be wasted by some attention whoring person.

Funny, I was reading a quote about Rick James who said it was because Micahel was black and they always go after the black man. Um, didn’t Rick James also rape and molest some woman? Not exactly someone I’d want defending me.
Did anyone else see the OJ White Bronco-style SUV chase via helicopter after the court appearance was over? They were literally following the guy down the fucking highway and the reporter is saying “Now Jim, Where do you suppose he’s going?”
BTW on Jimmy Kimmel last night they showed a clip of a Michael Jackson support rally and one guy was cheering the crowd on saying:
