BTW, earlier one of the guards was shown, with the candle flame behind him, just peeking over his bearskin cap. It almost looked like his cap was on fire.
Anybody know who the people up on the elevated section are? They aren’t moving, they’re just there.

The ones I recognized were (omitting titles) royal spouses and grandhildren: Camilla; Timothy Lawrence; Sophie Wessex and her 2 children; Eugenie and her husband. And (using his title to identify him) Prince Richard of Gloucester, the Queen’s first cousin. Maybe Peter Philips and Zara Tindall too, and their young kids.
I noticed that the Queen’s 4 children didn’t process in strict age order; Andrew, who is the 3rd child, was last.
Thanks for that. Now, who are the people coming in and leaving from the side door down on the main floor? Just people routed out to a different line or some sort of special guests?
There are VIPs coming from the staircase - if you turn left at the top of that staircase it takes you down a statue-filled hallway that leads to the Central Hall which is where the entrances to the two houses of parliament are. It looks like VIPs are coming from that direction.
But there is also a separate entrance - and queue! - for disabled mourners which is completely step free.

i hope they have a lovely break room for the guards. they deserve some time in a comfy massage chair.

What was the cane or staff that Princess Anne was using? Part of the uniform, or needed as a cane?
