Breastfeeeding now pornographic, breastfeeders now creating kiddie porn.

I saw an unmarried couple meet in a restaurant and perform osculation, on each other. In public! Icckkkyyyy, eeewwww.

Do I have to do that when I grow up?

Breasts can hurt you, just ask this guy: Attack of the killer boobs

OMG! I own incestuous child porn! And vix is the pornographer! Yes, vix gave me a picture of me nursing the Sprout, and I am sitting next to my brother!

Good thing she didn’t get them developed at Eckerd, or else I might not be able to sit around and look at my dirty dirty pictures!

I try to do all my bleeding in private but sometimes people walk in on me.

WTF! I’m sitting in an office building in Irving right now, pretending to work! I didn’t just buy a house in Arlington, but I DO have a sister-in-law who lives in North Richland Hills!

Oh yea, and I also agree it’s fine to nuke North Richland Hills

Enjoy,
Steven

I remember an anecdote of a mother trying to nurse her baby discreetly at Silver Dollar City. It was a very hot day, but she had a recieving blanket to cover up. Nevertheless a park security guard approached. She was surprised when he told her to rmove the blanket as it was too hot for any of that, and “this is a family park, no one will bother you here.” This was in contrast to her negative treatmen at at national park. Fortunately, it is now legal to breastfeed on federal property now.

Jebus got cut by a nipple once…damnit, can’t find the thread. It was a while ago, though … probably back in 2000 when he posted it.

That’s a highly personnal opinion (or perhaps a cultural american thing??? I doubt it, though). I never found a mother breastfeeding gross, but rather moving and cute…Actually, I can’t even get how it could be perceived as gross…

I have no problem seeing breasts, but there is no reason to breastfeed in public, or in a bathroom.

A number of years ago, devices calledbreast pumps were invented. They may have been crude at first, but current pumps work quite well, if you select a quality pump. My wife only breastfed our son in our home. Everywhere else, we simply used extracted milk in bottles. What a concept!

Check 'em out:

Public breastfeeding, IMO, is not “gross” or “icky”, but it is silly and unnecessary, given the other options available to all mothers.

You know, a little formula every now and then wouldn’t hurt your kid, either.

“no reason to breastfeed in public”
“silly and unnecessary”

Yep Clint, you’re still an idiot.

Enjoy,
Steven

NOOOOOOOO! My company’s HQ is in N Richland Hills, that’s where my paycheck comes from!

Can you state exactly why breastfeeding must be done in public, or are you only capable of acting like a douchebag for no good reason?

Maybe you are retarded. Let me help you:

The breast pump sucks milk out of the breast & into bottles, which can be used soon after pumping or frozen for later use. It’s quite a simple concept. My wife used this method without a hitch.

Of course, any woman who would bear your children should probably be sterilized now, anyway.

No one ever said it MUST be done in public. I called you an idiot because you said people who do it in public are silly or somehow backwards for choosing not to use technology to allow them to keep breastfeeding entirely out of the public eye.

You’re still an idiot.

Enjoy,
Steven

Can you state exactly why breastfeeding must not be done in public?

Your wife isn’t every women. Some women have a difficult time with breast pumps. Sometimes you stay out longer then you meant to and baby gets hungry.

It is the breast pump that is silly and unnecessary if Mommy is right there to feed baby.

Lots of lactation experts advise against switching between breast and bottle any more than or any sooner than necessary. It can cause “nipple confusion” in very young infants, and since a bottle is easier for a baby to feed from it can have an adverse effect on their willingness to latch on to the breast.

Also, when your breasts are full, and baby is hungry there’s really no arguing with either one. It’s not like you can just shut off the milk production while you take a prolonged day trip.

Can you state why exactly breastfeeding shouldn’t be done in public? Other than your insistence that it is “silly”? Because frankly, I think the silly suggestion is that milk should be pumped from the natural delivery device and transplanted into an artificial one for no other reason than to ease the immature squeamishness of a handful of the population who seem incapable of differentiating between breastfeeding and lewd behaviors. Silly indeed.

Pumping isn’t so easy for everyone. I was able to nurse quite easily, but pumping was really hard for some reason. Then there’s all the bother sotring it and buying bottles and the assorted stuff that goes with them.

Why go through all that fuss when I could just “whip it out” and be done with it?

So how do we feel about breastfeeding in Parliament?

Clint,

First of all, not all breastfed babies will take a bottle. I would have preferred to breastfed my baby than have him go hungry or cry lots. Second, there’s something called “nipple confusion”–introduce a bottle too early, and the baby may not go back to breastfeeding. It’s much easier to suck breastmilk out of a bottle than out of mommy. And third, it isn’t “silly and unnecessary.” It’s natural, sanitary, comforting, and loving, and it’s a hell of alot easier than lugging around a cooler and bottles.

For the record, I breastfed, pumped and used formula. I preferred breastfeeding. Pumping is a pain in the ass. I’ve breastfed at the community pool (not in the pool), in restaurants, in my car, and at friends’ houses and no one ever said anything to me. It was all very discreet, even without blankets. I have pictures of my son nursing. And I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.

It’s cool that your wife prefers not breastfeeding in public. Many women feel the same way. Just because she’s okay with that doesn’t mean that the rest of us are doing something “silly and unnecessary” because we breastfed in public.

Added on preview to add, “Yeah, what everyone else said.”

Yeah, why can’t these women do the natural thing as God intended and use a bottle?!

Yes and no. Some kids don’t tolerate artificially made milk all that well. It gives them gas and makes them cry. The few times my kids got formula, the difference in diaper odor was astounding.
I hope you helped with the diapers in your household!
