I was heading up 95 the other day and, as was passing by Bridgeport, saw what looked to me to be one of the biggest yachts in the world. It had a blue hull and was tied up (being built?) on the east side of 95. I only got a quick look but this thing was huge. What’s the SD?
Derecktor Shipyards builds yachts there. They have one called Cakewalk that matches the info you gave.

Big-assed boat, eh?
I’ve been watching that thing being put together for a while.
Please stop staring. It’s making me uncomfortable. If you want a ride, please just ask.
Oh, and it’s Majorelle Blue, thankyouverymuch.
Sincerely,

“I am Elmer J. Rhythmdvl, millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht.”
Suuuuuuuuuure you do.
“I may be a scwewy wabbit, but I’m not going to Alcatwaz!”
Reading the info on the builder’s page reveals Cakewalk is only the biggest yacht ever built in the U.S., not the world. They refer to, but do not name, the owner. Who has that kind of loot and how much was it?
Expensive enough that Elmer J. Rhythmdvl, millionaire up there is going to be sitting on the shore with the rest of unwashed masses.
The final price is hard to know without any interior details, but you can find other superyachts for sale. The Alysia is up for sale right now, a similarily sized 85 meter yacht for only 95 million Euro. (about $120,631,000 USD). Most of them are rented out by their owners for part of the year, very few live on them full time. A week on the Alysia is only 660k Euro. ($838,068 USD)

If you want you can even estimate the operating costs.

You call that a yacht? Where’s the helipad?
Granted it doesn’t have a helipad but it does make a lovely runabout. A helipad would interfere with the classic lines. If I were going to buy a boat of that style, I would use it for day excursions from a much larger vessel in which case a helipad is frivolous and redundant.

Holy crap, check out the details on Roman Abramovich’s new baby
560’ long, 13,000 tons, crew of 70, estimated cost up to $1.2 billion.
Plus these handy features:
“Eclipse has two helicopter pads, 11 guest cabins, two swimming pools, several hot tubs and a disco hall. She also comes equipped with three launch boats, and a mini-submarine that is capable of submerging to 50 meters.”
Course he has 4 or 5 others, should that one not be enough.

Of course he has four or five other yachts. He needs them for when he feels like having a demolition derby.
