Hello I`m back, hairs pie.
For lo! I have become Death, the Eater of Pies…
You are never too old to have a sophomoric sense of humour. Redoing the first cartoon in French almost gave me apoplexy.
Wow…I’ve been wooshed for a while apparently. I always thought that “When come back bring pie” was said by Homer lying on the couch, to Bart who was walking past.
A guy goes into a restaurant and orders 30 pies, the 3 chefs cook 10 pies each - the waiter serves the guy, who says “on second thoughts, I’ll only be able to eat 25 pies”. The waiter takes the remaining 5 pies back to the serving hatch and gives one pie back to each of the chefs. They tell the waiter to keep 2 pies for himself.
The chefs are deciding what to charge the cutomer; they each sent out 10 pies and got one back , so that’s 3 x 9 pies = 27 pies, plus the two that the waiter kept, makes 29 pies.
What happened to the missing pie?
or…
there are only three words in the english language which end with pie…
Me want this pie
If you tie a buttered pie to the back of a cat and drop it on some toast, what happens?
Apologies, guys, but I’m actually going to answer the OP.
Yes, it is an inside joke. I’m not sure where and when it originated, but has become a standard reply here to troll posts, along with “My cat’s breath smells like cat food.”
This thread in Great Debates made Threadspotting.
As I’m sure you realize, most of the other replies on this thread refer to other inside jokes on this message board.
To clarify, the standard reply is “I like pie.”
Actually, I do belive that Homer did say “When come back bring pie” in one of the early, Tracy Ulman show shorts.
It seemed to start off being used a troll flounced; “im outta here cuz u r all mean 2 me an u dont lisen 2 teh truth!”
The reply “When come back bring pie!” carries with it an implied [sub]“Wanker”[/sub]
Are you allowed to drink (alcohol) at work?
I watched that animation again. It is pretty funny. I have a very weird sense of humor. I’m one of those people that thinks that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Monte Python’s Flying Circus is rolling-on-the-floor hillarious.
Kinda weak. It’s never even made me so much as chuckle. And that was before hundreds of people drove it into the ground. I can’t listen to the song “Don’t worry, be happy!” for the same reasons. To be fair, unlike the pie joke, I liked the song the first time. But by the 100th time I had heard it (later that day), I was sick of it.
Bad jokes repeated over and over as if a clever insult. Insults and excludes as an “in-joke” all in one fell swoop. “Wink-wink aren’t we special!”. Blah. Not impressed. Next time, instead of writing a tired standby in response to a troll how about coming up with something original or, better yet, just ignoring them? It’ll be alot more fun for me that way. . .
