A woman who is in an open relationship with two chandeliers has revealed that she is ‘engaged’ to one of them.
Amanda Liberty, 33, from Leeds, has embarked on an open relationship with her chandeliers, and is now ‘engaged’ to a 70cm wide chandelier named Lumiere, after spotting it on eBay 12 months ago.

Its probably “On Again Off Again” relationships.

Maybe it’s just me but I feel bad for the other chandelier, Jewel. Sure, Jewel gets to spend nights in bed with Amanda but it must break his heart to know that she really loves Lumiere.

Ideally Jewel could break up with Amanda and go out and find a woman who will look beyond his physical beauty and love him for his inner qualities. But he can’t because, you know, he’s just a chandelier.

Perhaps it is? My impression is that female objectophliacs do tend toward monogamy. Certainly one of the most well-known instances, Eija-Riitta Berliner-Mauer, was apparently happily married to the Berlin Wall for 29 years until he was (horrifically, from her perspective) torn down.

This fidelity may, of course, not be reciprocal, since an American woman claims to have been in a relationship with the Berlin Wall for twenty of those years (she has since married the Eiffel Tower).

The widow Berliner-Mauer is currently in a relationship with a garden fence.

Re-read the article. Amanda refers to both Jewel and Lumiere as “she.”
