Her first post in the thread, Oh Assholey Trollie, mentions her memory of something that happened in her neighborhood of someone she knew. Thats right, Lite-Brite, memory of what happened in her neighborhood… a murder that happened 8 years ago.

When Surreal tried to subtley play the “You’re A Liar” card, she posted a second time about it, an article to effictively prove that, yes, this man did exist and yes he was murdered. Her only error she admitted in the third post was saying
that she thought the family found him when an employee found him. That’s the point which you so gleefully harp on, Troll.

Now… imagine knowing a person who died violently. Tell me that normal people will go up to the greaving family (at the Viewing perhaps?) and grill them about who discovered the body. No, normal people don’t do that.

It’s probably a pretty minor form of bigotry, but I think it qualifies. It’s prejudging someone, in a negative way (by assuming that they can’t take care of themselves), based on some physical characteristic.

Everyone prejudges, but not everything is bigotry.

Disparaging people? Refusing service? Bigotry.

Assuming someone might need help? Not bigotry.

What about the old-fashioned “Boy Scout helps little old lady across the street” story? Is the Boy Scout bigoted for assuming she needs help? If a man holds a door open for a lady, is he “bigoted”, since he might be assuming she can’t do it herself?
