Broomstick - Does His Ass Say rebeW or Not?

Thank you so much for all of this! Like cmyk, I was just watching all of the pretty, pretty lingo fly over my head and admiring the colors.

“Admiring the colors” ? Hueist.

Louist and Dewist, too. Ain’t that just ducky

I like all the colors. Is there a word for being against black and white? Cause I am against black and white.

A colorblind pilot who can’t change lanes on an interstate if the toll booth is a minute away, and can’t spare $30 for an EZ pass card because it would starve her family, married to a guy with spina bifida and a Weber logo branded on his ass.

Next Hallmark Movie star.

Of course, earlier in the thread you told everyone to move on, not giving a shit. What changed?

You forgot her extremely mortal allergy to beans.

The colorblind piloting thing doesn’t bother me, really. You can get a colorblind restricted license. You won’t fly commercially, but you can fly during the day. Plus you can get a test to prove that you can tell the difference in the colored signal lights, and thus getting an exemption.

The issue that gets me is that she was claiming not to be able to even see the green on white. You can be completely colorblind, and you’d still be able to see it, because this green is much darker than the white around it.

There’s a reason why the Ishihara tests are green on red or red on green.

For someone so deathly allergic, she sure eats a lot of beans.

Technically, she said she was allergic to “most legumes.” This is a perfect example of how she exaggerates things for maximum outrage effect. Obviously, her “most legumes” doesn’t include such major categories as beans and lentils, since she has a bunch of posts in which she discusses how she has survived the lean years on beans & rice, lentil soup, etc. But when it serves her purpose (in an unrelated topic) to be deathly allergic to non-meat proteins, she refers to what is likely a peanut/soybean allergy as “most legumes.”

He wanted to be a fighter pilot in the military which presumably has much stricter qualifications than the FAA.

Wow. What a fucking liar.

I don’t think she’s really lying (see my post above for her actual quote about her allergies). It’s just a typical Broomstick exaggeration.

I’m afraid you’ve misspelled “bullshit” up there.

In this case, it’s equivalent to lying because she wants to make some point. She’s troubled.

ETA: Nah, she explicitly states she’s allergic to beans, in that a trip to the ER would result. She’s a liar.

Where does she say that?

I searched out of curiosity. You might not be surprised to hear that it wasn’t difficult to find a post where she lists her food allergies:
Allergies/intolerances (not going to go into the nuances here):

tomatoes
oranges
green peas
lentils (all varieties)
barley
peanuts
corn (that one is complicated and now under question)

Yeah, it kind of sucks.
I don’t think I’d characterize green peas, lentils, barley, and peanuts as “most” legumes, but in any case she did not list beans.

She says she’s allergic to most legumes, aka beans.

If I say I’m allergic to most grains (as in a quick trip to the ER or I’ll die) allergic, then find out I’m only moderately allergic to oat and maaaaybe barely, wouldn’t you call that a lie more than an exaggeration?

She also mentions (in your quoted post) as being allergic or intolerant to lentils but in one of the other threads (the middle one from above) she says “I ate beans and lentils, too.”

Here’s the list of edible legumes. I’d find it very odd for someone to claim that they’re allergic to ‘most legumes’ but just happen to be able to eat the only ones people actually associate with the word legume, like peanuts and beans and soy (tofu) and even lentils. Maybe she was living on Honey Locust and lablab, because we all see those at the local mega mart.

ETA, I’m “intolerant” of quite a few things as well (Oral Allergy Syndrome) but ya know what I do… I don’t eat them. I’ve managed to go my almost my entire life without eating green beans or or peas or just about all fruit (raw, things like jelly are fine). But having my throat get all itchy because I took a small bite of an apple is really uncomfortable.
