Budweiser Lizards

Ok, this is a debate but I don’t think it quite qualifies for the Great Debates forum. It’s my first time starting a new thread, so bear with me if I’ve picked the wrong spot.

Now, I’m sure most - if not all - of you are familiar with the lizards Budweiser has used in their commercials. I immediately recognized them as chameleons, but it seems that there is a strong following saying that they are in fact iguanas! Not only that, but they claim that Budweiser also says they’re iguanas! How can people be so blind?

Characteristics the lizards share with chameleons:
[ul]
[li]They have prehensile tails[/li][li]They have independently moving eyes[/li][li]Their general build is identical to the general build of chameleons.[/li][/ul]

Characteristics they have in common with iguanas:
[ul]
[li]They’re lizards[/li][/ul]

Can someone please tell me why these guys are considered iguanas? I find it hard to believe people can actually think this!

Yeah!

And what’s up with the talking weasel? Everyone knows weasels can’t talk! They post inane questions to on-line sites!

Hey Chief! It’s a FERRET, not a weasel!

runs like hell

That’s not French! I speak French!

Gee, isn’t that what MPSIMS is for?

Having been a Herpetoculturalist a dozen plus years I can indeed say YES they ARE True Chameleons. Anyone that calls them iguanas should be laughed and scoffed at.

Remember, we’re talking about a corporation which puts a “born on” date on their beer so that we know that instead of drinking lousy beer, we’re drinking lousy fresh beer. I wouldn’t worry too much about what they say.

Gotta worry 'bout sumthin!

Well, if you REALLY want to worry about something, try worrying about the Pepsi Girl’s movie career. If you can’t worry about that, then I want some of what YOU’RE on!

The Pepsi girl has a movie career? May someone help us all, Satan, shouldn’t she belong to you?
I think the ferret is adorable but the chameleons look creepy, besides those things aren’t iguanas, I know nothing about reptiles and even I know they’re not iguanas.

Kitty

Iguana or chameleon…

It doesn’t really matter after 12-13 beers.

And you are right, Falcon, it is a ferret you weasel…

I too have been doing herps for a while and, sez I, “I have known Iguanas and you, sirs, are no Iguanas!”
