From The Santa Clause:
“Gimme All Your Loving” by ZZTop
From The Santa Clause:
“Gimme All Your Loving” by ZZTop
Weezer did a pretty faithful cover of “You Might Think” by the Cars in Cars 2. I’m sure you could play the original version.
From Meet the Robinsons:
Little Wonders, by Rob Thomas

A little gem from Tarzan, a cover by Usher: “You’ll be in My Heart.”
Any Disney playlist has to include “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid.
Oooh. Good one.
And yes, while I’m laughing it up with oddball Disney songs - Into the Woods is a good find - you fine people tossing me classic Disney songs I might miss would be good, as well. I’ve got seven hours to fill. Help me fill it.
The classics, of course, include…
“Baby Mine” from Dumbo
“The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” by Dukas, from Fantasia
“An Actor’s Life For Me” and “I Got No Strings” from Pinocchio

“Try Everything” by Shakira from Zootopia.
Let’s see, now that I’ve got a long weekend ahead of me, plus a good case of the sniffles keeping me snug at home, time to get cracking…
First of all, album suggestions:
Let It Go: The Complete Set
Quite simply, all the official foreign language versions of Let It Go, including several of the End Credits versions.
I’m confident a gaggle of teenage girls will love them, at least if spaced out enough. I’m not sure if three straight hours of Let It Go, while sealed in a metal box rattling a freeway in the summer, would be good for anyone’s sanity.
Also,
Frozen: Deluxe Edition
This version of the soundtrack includes several “bonus” songs that didn’t make it to the film—not performed by the cast, but by the movie’s composers.
Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge
A concept album based off of Don Rosa’s classic graphic novel The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, composed by the founder of Swedish symphonic metal band Nightwish.
Maybe a bit esoteric for the intended audience, but it’s good music…and could certainly dilute Let It Go in a pinch.
Ella Enchanted Original Soundtrack
A slight oddity—a Miramax film, produced when it was still owned by Disney, but Disney still owns the rights.
Some interesting covers, including a few by Anne Hathaway, which the girls might not even have heard before. (God, I feel old)
Strange Magic Original Soundtrack
Another oddity, Lucasfilm’s CGI jukebox musical fairy movie. Fun movie, nice songs. Not perfect, but underrated.
Also co-starring Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, for your musical bona-fides.
"Heigh-Ho! Mozart: Favorite Disney Tunes in the Style of Great Classical Composers
I’m rather partial to “Under the Sea in the style of Scott Joplin.”
Aladdin: Original Broadway Cast Recording
This might be of some interest…the Disney stage musical changes the plot a bit, including characters and songs that were cut during the film’s development process.
The Crow (Soundtrack, and Original Score)
A treat for the older kids! Technically speaking, this IS a Disney movie…and a musical.
Okay, fine, maybe not. Since this is a lighthearted Disney trip…I guess it can’t rain all the time.
“Life is a Highway” by Rascall Flatts from Cars.
The Main Theme from The Incredibles.
And anything from Phineas & Ferb.
“Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo” and “So This is Love” from Cinderella
“Looking for Romance (I Bring You a Song)” from Bambi
“Love (Goes On and On)” and “The Phony King of England” from Robin Hood
“The Best of Friends” from Fo & The Hound
The Lion King, Complete Soundtrack
“Shoot to Thrill” by AC/DC from Iron Man 2
“Theme From Marvel’s The Avengers”
“Driving With the Top Down”, instrumental from Iron Man
“The Star-Spangled Man With a Plan” from Captain America: The First Avenger
“Han Solo and The Princess” from The Empire Strikes Back
“Across the Stars (Love Theme from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones)”
“Duel of the Fates” from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
“The First Time You See Her”, “Miss Piggy’s Fantasy”, and “Hey, a Movie!” from The Great Muppet Caper
“I’m Going to Go Back There Someday” from The Muppet Movie
“A Whole New World” from Aladdin
“I See The Light”, “Mother Knows Best” and “Mother Knows Best (Reprise)” from Tangled
“Let It Go” from Frozen (I also like it in French and Japanese)
“Baby Mine” from Dumbo (get the Kleenex out)
Hmm. Do we count The Muppet Movie?
Hmm.
“Never Smile at a Crocodile” from Peter Pan
“Candle on the Water” from Pete’s Dragon
OK, so maybe I pulled up the Wikipedia article for “List of Walt Disney Animation Studios films” and really sunk into this one:
“Bella Notte” and “He’s a Tramp” from Lady and The Tramp
“Someday My Prince Will Come”, “Whistle While You Work”, and “The Dwarfs’ Yodel Song (Silly Song)” from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs
“I’ve Got No Strings” from Pinocchio
“Pink Elephants on Parade” from Dumbo
“Baia” from The Three Caballeros
“Merrily On Our Way (To Nowhere in Particular)” from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
“A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella
“All in the Golden Afternoon”, “The Unbirthday Song”, and “Painting the Roses Red” from Alice in Wonderland
“Once Upon a Dream” from Sleeping Beauty
“Cruella De Vil” from 101 Dalmatians
“Everybody Wants to Be a Cat” from The Aristocats
“The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers” from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

“Go The Distance” from Hercules
“Reflections” and “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan
“Barking at The Moon” from Bolt
“Almost There” from The Princess & The Frog
Let’s see…from the singles collection?
Obviously, the major musical numbers from the animated film canon are a must, as are the album/“end credits” versions by the various guest composers.
Elton John’s performances of his songs from The Lion King are old favorites of mine. As is Lana Del Rey’s Once Upon a Dream.
“Every Little Piece,” from Pete’s Dragon, my favorite Disney song about poaching and dissecting wild animals for traditional medicine components. Lindsay Sterling’s Something Wild from the later Pete’s Dragon might work, too.
“Baroque Hoedown”—that’s the Disneyland Hotel Album ambient music version, although you might better recognize it as the Main Street Electrical Parade’s theme.
“Otherworldly Concerto,” the “demo tracks” for the ambient organ music in the Haunted Mansion, will serve as a nice compliment for “Grim Grinning Ghosts” proper.
“To the Fairies They Draw Near” by Loreena McKennitt…'coupla versions, actually.
Shiver My Timbers from Muppet Treasure Island.
Snuff Out the Light—The Emperor’s New Groove (Deleted)
Thai Mol Piyas (Tavern Song) From the Hunchback of Notre Dame musical…er, too much?
My Evil Dreams—Sofia the First
One Dance—The Little Mermaid (Deleted)
Someday—Hunchback of Notre Dame (Deleted song), also reworked for the musical
I Can’t Believe My Heart—Hercules (Deleted Song)
Warthopg Rhapsody—The Lion King (deleted)
Listen to the Land, New Horizons, Universe of Energy, It’s Fun to Be Free, There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, The Best Time of Your Life…'not gonna have to worry about just hearing them again in the park. Unfortunately.
Return to Oz Rag March—Return to Oz. A lesser known, underrated Disney film. An utterly terrifying one, but still underrated. This is one of the non-nightmare inducing pieces.
All for Love—Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, Sting, from Disney’s “The Three Musketeers.” (The live action one)
Appropriate, as I think this now counts as “Dad Music.”
“Separate Ways”—Journey
Courtesy of Tron: Legacy. (Also, see above)
Two Brothers—Alicia Almo. In case you need to flush your system from excessive whimsy.
More album suggestions: Disney’s actually done a few other stage-only musicals, such as King David, Aida, and…Shakespeare in Love; Bayou Boogie, songs inspired by The Princess and the Frog. Featuring plenty of Keith David singing.
