Cats is mean..
cats are dicks.
The cat in the box is called Schroedinger…
Heh. When we first got our orange boys, Shadow was 4 years old, and Charlie was about 2 months old. Charlie, being a hyperactive little guy, would pester easygoing Shadow until Shadow reached the end of his rope. Then Shadow would sit on Charlie, and all I’d see was a largish cat with an extra two tiny legs emerging from under his butt. I kept trying to get a pic of this, but never managed it. I’m sure that if Shadow had had the chance to stuff Charlie into a box, he’d have taken it.
To a cat, the only thing more fascinating than an empty box is a box with another cat in it.
Or a partially open drawer. Both of my cats are obsessed with partially open drawers. Closed one? Nothing. Fully open ones? Nothing. Pull one out about 4"? OMG, must squirm in and burrow around NOW!!!
As I am currently packing the apartment to move next week, I cannot agree with this statement more.
After he lets whitey out, he gives him a patronising little pat on the shoulder, too.
They all seemed pretty chill about the entire thing. The initial capture was more of an accident than anything else. Sitting on the box was kind of mean, but also oblivious cat.
I hope you don’t mind if I kinda hijack this thread with a question.
I have 3 cats, all siblings. They’ve always rough-housed–as in, I’ve taken one to the vet for eye scratches received from another one. These cats are hardcore.
Lately, one cat is really getting nasty with the others. I’m talking punches, here (I realize I sound like an idiot, but he really does haul off and PUNCH). If I am nearby, I’ll distract them to end the fight, but otherwise I leave them alone. If I try to separate them, they all howl in protest.
Anyone have any experience with a cat suddenly going all kung-fu fighting on fellow cats?
Ha, I noticed one of the comments:
What’s up with the lion cat? What breed is that?
I think it’s just a longhair with a haircut. Interesting look.
Like that snopes.com lion cut picture? I was thinking that…but the tail! Can you make it look like that just from cutting?
Well… most of the cat’s body and tail are shaved, right? I’ve never actually seen one of these in person.
Too true. I was in the process of refinishing the bureau.
Hooray to Oregonians! Especially to those with cats I moved to TX from Oregon a few years ago, but all my family is still there
Typical silly bureaucats.
Yea, if a Persian or Himalayan cat gets matted, or lives somewhere really hot, or has an owner that’s allergic, etc., you can get them shaved into the “lion cut” to get rid of all that fuzz. I had to do it a few times with one of my cats, back when he was an active youngster and not that into grooming himself. He always hated getting his haircut, but afterwards, seemed so happy not to be weighed down with all that fur.
I’d estimate that lion-cut cat in the video has 3 or 4 months of growth - it’s not a fresh shave.
Now bully cat, seal the box with duct tape and ship it to Kansas.
