Not sure if it’s a legitimate glitch, or if the trolls have figured out how to bump threads without posting to them–the subject matter seems to be a bit coincidental…
Apparently, troll3 was reviving Troll threads in the Pit, but in those, he actually posted. Is this the work of someone completely deleting troll3’s posts in MPSIMS?
Since we just banned troll3, it’s not surprising that he may have posted something too stupid to live.
When a post is removed in an old thread like that, the thread stays in the queue as per the newer date and shows the “last post” even though that last post was removed.
Here’s what happened. A since-banned troll, “Troll3,” posted in those threads and seeing no responses to him, I merely deleted the offending post without comment. Apparently the software records thread activity and that is why they remain near the top of the thread list.
In one of the threads, it’s locked now, you’ll probably come across a post by Troll3 that was replaced entirely by myself. It may help explain things. I’ve deleted posts without comment before and while I think this might be a reasonable policy, it seems to create a bit of confusion. I don’t know how to let everyone know what I’ve done without giving the trolls the satisfaction of a response to them.
