Burn Notice is back!

He can always do his “Security Camera Repairman” schtick.

Lots of security cameras have his picture too.

This was a great episode - the best of the new season, IMO. Michael under pressure is always fun to watch.

ivylass is right about the loose ends. In fact, over the course of the show, Michael and crew have left a trail of explosions, car accidents, shootings, kidnappings, etc. in Miami, but his never getting caught/questioned was always somewhat explain-away-able by his being “protected” by the Organization. Now that the protection has been lifted, the cops should be able to nail him with witnesses and security video as others have speculated above.

But it won’t really happen. The show would not be nearly as fun if Michael had to clean up everything as well as he would have to in reality. The writers are making a head-fake in this direction with the earnest cop as Michael’s foil for the season, but it won’t last, and he’ll still get away with shit nobody normally could (which is cool, that’s what makes the show fun!)

I wonder if he will feed some bad folks to the detective or better yet, to someone above her in the police hierarchy to make Mike look good.

How long can the police hold you in Florida and interrogate you without arresting you or letting you have a lawyer?

I’m wondering if lady cop is really si-ng him up for a job. Or if management sent her to pressure mike back into the fold.

I love the lady detective as his new foil. Wonder if at some point, she is going to need him? Will they eventually become good buddies?

Good point. She’s dirty. I like it. DMark is probably right, though.

I think that somehow she will find out about how he’s sort of a super-spy good samaritan and will probably let him go because she sees that he takes out bad guys.

Also awesome in an episode of House. It’s like he’s taking a tour of all my favorite shows.

I also thought this was the best of the season so far. I like how they’re adding more of those little information cards, like the one they used for the “Cantenna.”

Best line: “No, that move only works before you’re in a choke hold. Go to sleep now.”

I missed him on House. I don’t watch that show much but since it’s trying to be the new Law and Order on TNT all the time, I will probably see it eventually.

He’s always been on good terms with his enemies. He’s willingly helped both the suits from the first season, Carla from the second, the guy that was in the bank when it was getting robbed, and his assassin.

Really the problem is that he’s confined to one locale. Even with the Organization protecting him, he’s still pissed off several local gangs, stealing crews, and mafia groups. That they all disappear and leave him alone without him having to form some alliances is rather improbable.

I’d be worried about them more than the police. But…yeah it’s never going to happen. The producers aren’t interested in maintaining that sort of episode-to-episode linkage.

They’ve tried. People have gotten his name from former clients and such. Most of Mike’s work revolves around putting on a fake identity. I love for him to get a new case where the bad guy was someone he’s already conned before, so that he couldn’t act his way in.

Well the producers are interested in a regular explainable source of Mission of the Weeks. Mission of the Week isn’t quite the same thing as Villain of the Week.

It doesn’t strike me as being particularly believable that an ex-IRA operative would harp about someone being patriotic.

It wasn’t Michael’s patriotism, it was his allegiance to a country that could have their intelligence community infiltrated by The Organization and was consequently manipulated to burn him. He’s been mistreated by a dumb group, but he’s still loyal. That chaps her.

I thought she would much rather have a life with him bounty hunting and doing Robin Hood stuff than waiting for him to come back from Bosnia.

Did anyone else notice that the mathematician was played by Michael Weston? That was really confusing- I couldn’t figure out why they put the main character’s name in the credits.

Hey, that’s the PI from “House”! I knew I recognized him from somewhere.

BTW, Michael’s last name is spelled “Westen”. But it’s an interesting coincidence anyway.

Ok, I’m confused by the overall plot.

Mike was burned not by the organization he works for, but by another organization? So why can’t he get back with his original folks if the burn notice is lifted at the end of Season 2?
