I sat down at the computer, having just eaten and taken my usual handful of pills, including some supplements. A gentle burp ensued, and what appeared to be smoke came from my nostrils. I was startled, felt for sure my eyes were deceiving me, but then burped yet again, and the same smoke appeared.

I was rather freaked out, my wife started worrying about spontaneous human combustion. I don’t smoke at all. I wasn’t in a cold room. I didn’t create a low pressure area with my mouth.

But I did find some internet stories about this happening to other people. The best explanation is, that some capsules containing powder started to dissolve in my stomach and my burp carried the fine powder up through my nose.

Sure looked like smoke, though. If I don’t post any more, maybe it was the start of spontaneous human combustion.

I’ve done this a few times, when I was taking my calcium in capsules. Sure did freak me out the first couple of times.

I’ve had this happen a couple of times too when I took calcium supplements.
My husband & I got a kick out of it too & laughed our butts off.
