Bush didn’t start the fucking war idiot. He is finishing a war that Saddam started. There was never a fucking end to the original Gulf War, it was a cease fire based on the continual actions of Saddam and his government to adhere to the terms of the cease fire. If you don’t abide by the terms we come back and fucking finish the job that we so gratefully stopped to give you, Saddam another chance to show that you are willing to play in the world theatre. Since he was not willing to do so we are making good on the cease fire agreement that says we can come back and finish the job we started. How fucking hard is that to understand???

I think you’re responding to some other thread. No one here has even mentioned how they’d do things better, etc. And I don’t see anyone claiming they wouldn’t respond the way he is… we just think it’s inappropriate the way he’s reponding.

Well, yes, but not in the way you might think. Have you seen the video of him pumping his fist and yelling “Yes! Feels good!” before his speech solemnly announcing the war? Yep, that was “hard”, wasn’t it?

What effect has there been so far? And why would you think that anyone who thinks Bush is wrong must be a “liberal”? You won’t convince a soul that way.
And we do. What makes you think any differently? Who have you actually heard say otherwise? Or do you only know what people who disagree with you are saying through what people who agree with you caricature it as, when they’re not flat-out lying? We do support our troops, as a natural consequence of not wanting their lives to be wasted in a counterproductive effort that will ultimately only get more of us killed, along with other side effects, mostly negative. Can you understand that?
If those were the arguments, you might have a point. But you’re not interested in actually finding out, are you?
Of course he knew it would be tough, and tough decisions have to be made. So what? Are you a parent? Have you had to make tough decisions? Is there something wrong with being upset about the way some people handle themselves and/or criticize you? I just got criticized here for the way I handled myself. Should I have expected it? Yes. Was it truthfull? Almost. That’s why it doesn’t bother me. If the criticism had been full of lies and slander about me, my true intentions, or even my intelligence then yeah, I’d be upset. As it was the criticism that I received was what my actions demonstrated my motives to be. Was it my true intention? No.
