And I had the misfortune of taking off one of my teva’s whilst hiking. I accidentally slipped back, stepped down and landed right on one. The ‘mother plant’ decided to let lose half her load on my thigh and lower leg. I had round about 100 little bleeding holes in my leg, when we were through pulling them out. I can not even begin to tell you how arduous the 3 mile hike back to the trail head was…

sigh I’ve been on this board reading all about Dopefests and what not…and never yet have I seen a Phoenix one till I searched for it.
I hope I’m not about to get my genitals cut off for bumping up such an old topic (if one considers 3 months to be old), but I really hope to attend one sometime. Sounds like a major break from the boring monotony that is my life.
I wouldn’t even mind if it was something extremely simple, such as a meeting at a Burger King consisting of only, say, 4 or 5 people. Just so it’s something.
It is now September. The month this topic has said we should wait for. I agree wholeheartedly as it’s really hot here on a daily basis, but nowadays it’s cooling off.
I suppose I should have made a new topic and just linked…but I saw nothing wrong with just reviving this one.
I’m not one to pick dates or places or plan it, however. I’ll leave that for someone else…:o Any date is good for me, as is place.

Since you’re downtown…there’s BK at Central & Thomas (or somewhere around there), the one by the ballpark, and there’s got to be more downtown. There’s other restaurants too – maybe we could do a step up, like Subway.

There’s a Subway at Thomas and Central. I’d vote that place. However for the sake of thinking it’s probably not open at 6 in the morning, why not make a tad later in the day?
If you were serious that is…If not…by all means, make the date. I would give my life to be there (My first Dopefest, even if it only consists of 4, 3 or even just lel and I.)
I dunno, lel. I could be there but unless I’m finishing up an all-nighter, 6:00 AM is usually earlier than I start drinking. I could make an exception though. Irish, or Mexican, coffee followed by a couple of Bloody Marys would be a good start to just about any day.
Well, it’s off Central somewhere between McDowell and Indian School. I thought Thomas, but maybe it’s just somewhere in between. I don’t know.

I’m the sort of guy who is very versatile. Literally any time, day, or location (as long as it’s within 50 miles of my house), is doable for me.
So I really have no say in deciding what the day or time should be. Whenever the most are free.
