I don’t know whether to keep reading the news and his tweets so I can see this crap unfolding, or step away and pretend it’s not happening. “Here, Russia, have access to our cyber security systems so we can collaborate more effectively.” I know it sounds like they’re into everything already, but on the off chance they’ve missed anything our president wants to help out.
I’ve got to find a better class of swear words for occasions like this.
He did say “guarded”, not “prevented”.
It means that only those putin deems worthy of meddling in elections will be able to.

As an information security professional, I want me some of that impenetrable cyber security. That would be awesome!

How stunningly brave of Lindsey to come out and say such a thing. I mean, to say that a president is behaving in a way that undermines the security of us all? Such a heart of gold to speak truth to power and he’ll never again vote for a Trump-approved bill in the Senate, right? Or get in the way of congressional investigations, right? If Kennedy retires tomorrow, he’ll filibuster until all such scandalous behavior is flushed out and he can be sure the replacement nominee isn’t put on the bench with a cloud over his ('cause it’ll be a he, no doubt) head. He’ll stand with the protesters, protect Mueller at all personal costs… right? He’s not possibly just trying to get good press by bashing Trump while at the same time not actually DOING anything that would make the MAGAers come after him, right? That would be unseemly! I suspect that at the G20 “but her emails!!!” is a punchline. So he keeps hearing just that, and is certain everyone agrees with him the huge, terrible, no-good big fucking deal her emails were (and still are, obviously, cause everyone is talking about them!)
