Since you apparently just googled it, how about a cite?
I tried and have found nobody talking about having a check in hand, much less depositing it and finding that it is real and didn’t bounce.
Which pretty much describes everything you post.
You didn’t try very hard.
If you want the charities’ acknowledgement that they received it:
"Habitat for Humanity confirmed to The Hill the organization had received a check from the president and first lady Melania Trump.
…
Disaster relief organizations Portlight Inclusive Disaster Strategies and Team Rubicon also confirmed to The Hill they received checks from the president and first lady to assist in Harvey relief.
Reach Out America said in a Facebook post two days before the White House announced the recipients that they had received a $100,000 donation from Trump.
The Washington Post’s David Farenthold reported on Wednesday that Direct Relief, which is dedicated to improving “the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergency,” received a personal check from the president for $25,000.
The Dallas Morning News’ Lauren McGaughy confirmed the animal charity the Houston Humane Society also received a check for $25,000."
I doubt he’d have done so without media scrutiny and we have reporting that he wasn’t always so diligent in following through with his pledges. That said, I’m glad to learn he’s finally put his money where his mouth is.
Awwww.
150,000 < 1,000,000
On the other hand, he promised a Gold Star father $25,000 and only wrote the check 4 months later when the story broke.
I sure hope he has to commit to every Gold Star family the same consideration. Might be the only thing that keeps us out of war.
Thanks for the cite.
I was wondering if I couldn’t math anymore.
As the article says (if you read it, you’d know) not all charities acknowledge receiving specific checks.
But keep hating. Reminds me of that joke when someone walks on water and the headlines in papers say “So-and-so cannot swim”.
So now you’re comparing Trump to Jesus; lovely.
Oh, I’m just getting started.
I’d give a dollar to see your face when they haul Don the Con away in handcuffs.
I’ll pledge $10.
Not a new one for the Tweeter in Chief, but I think it’s a valuable lesson at how insidious the war on Christmas is! You can bet your ass, we are bring Christmas back! MAGA!!! :smack:
This. I was wondering how he can offer this to one family, but not all of them. Of course they are all going to end up with the same amount anyway…
The absolute stupidity of this offer… Is to be expected.
Love it!
Seriously, you are really on to something, here. All patriotic Americans should commit to calling for Trump to make that $25K pledge to each and every family that, from now until the end of Trump’s Presidency, receives the Gold Star designation.
And I hope they’re not too gentle when they drag him out of the Oval Office and load him into that police car to haul him away to jail. Like I hope they don’t use their hands protect his head from being bumped. I hope they slam his head hard.
